Mykelti Reveals True Reason She Refused Kody At Baby’s Birth
Mykelti Padron gave birth to her first child well over a year ago. However, fans are just now seeing it all play out onscreen. In the new episode, it looks as if fans will get an inside look at the birth.
Naturally, she wanted her mother Christine present. But she adamantly said she did not want her father Kody to attend. What was the reason behind her decision? Keep reading to get the inside scoop.
Mykelti Padron says she would be uncomfortable with Kody at the birth
TLC recently released a new teaser for the upcoming episode. It appears that tonight’s episode will focus on Tony and Mykelti Padron as they prepare to welcome their daughter into the world. Fans already know that they had a daughter, Avalon Asa Padron. She’s happy, healthy, and nearly 18 months old as of September 2022. But still, it will be exciting to see how the birth played out onscreen.
In the teaser, Mykelti reveals that she would like to have both Christine and Robyn present. But Kody isn’t welcome.
“I’m not going to have my dad at the birth because honestly it just kind of seems weird for my male dad to be there at me giving birth with all of my legs open and my amniotic fluid going everywhere,” the TLC star said. “I just kind of felt that was a little uncomfortable.”
Many fans can’t blame her. In the past, Kody Brown has always been a little awkward around his wives and daughters when it comes to strictly female matters. He also isn’t always the most gentle when it comes to his adult children. Ultimately, it seems like Mykelti probably made a good call here.
Even though Mykelti opted to keep the birth a little more private, there’s no doubt that her family is showering her with love from afar. Avalon Asa Padron is about to make her grand debut onscreen and she is already so loved.
Christine Brown goes above and beyond to help her daughter
Even though Christine Brown has an ongoing beef with Kody and Robyn, she went above and beyond to make Mykelti’s delivery perfect. She selflessly put aside her own feelings and called Robyn to let her know that Mykelti was about to give birth. Sister Wives fans are really impressed with Christine’s dedication to her daughter. Many can’t help but wonder if Robyn would do the same if the roles were reversed.
