‘The Voice’: Girl Named Tom On Huge Tour This Christmas
Girl Named Tom won The Voice Season 21, but put their future on hold when the season ended. Their father died at the end of the season and the group returned home to spend time with their family. However, they are finally setting out to go on tour. Keep reading to see where you can see Girl Named Tom this year.
Girl Named Tom to open for Pentatonix
Girl Named Tom had to put their career on hold after the death of their father. This put a damper on their victory on The Voice last season, after becoming the first trio ever to win on the show. They won for Team Kelly in her last season before taking a break to spend more time with her family. In the last few months, they started working on some new music. Now they get to open for one of the biggest bands to tour every Christmas.
Girl Named Tom let fans know on Instagram that they would open for Pentatonix this year. They wrote, “We are beyond delighted to join @ptxofficial on this year’s Christmas Tour!” They also wrote they would watch every Pentatonix video as a family since 2012. The siblings also called Pentatonix some of their biggest inspirations when it comes to “harmonizing and arranging.”
When can you see Pentatonix?
Girl Named Tom also listed the upcoming dates for the tour with Pentatonix by sharing the ad for the Pentatonix: A Christmas Spectacular tour. There are 22 dates on the tour, with stops in Nashville, Denver, Indianapolis, Tulsa, Fort Worth, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Memphis, and more. The tour starts off in Oakland on November 17 and ends on Dec. 22 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Tickets to the tour also include VIP packages and they went on sale on September 23. There is also more information on the Pentatonix website. While this is a big tour for Girl Named Tom, they have been touring a lot already this year.
Girl Named Tom’s post-The Voice career
There haven’t been many winners from The Voice to have very successful musical careers, especially when compared to shows like American Idol. The siblings took to Instagram before the Pentatonix announcement and revealed that they have continued to perform since winning the show and mourning their father’s death.
The band said they have played over 70 shows since December 2021 and they aren’t done yet. They said The Voice had opened a lot of doors for them and they wished the new singers this season good luck. It sounds like one door opened to Pentatonix.
