Online, fans have a lot to say about the Sister Wives cast members. And many viewers are incredibly critical of the wives’ participation in multi-level marketing companies (MLMs). But recently, Meri Brown decided she had enough of fans criticizing her participation in her MLM, LuLaRoe.

Meri is here to defend her choices and show fans what she loves about LuLaRoe. Keep reading to learn more.

Meri Brown stands her ground and defends her business endeavors

Many people have issues with MLM companies. In general, they require people to recruit others into their downline. The people at the top earn a lot of money while the people at the bottom end up in a big financial bind. However, as TLC celebrities, the Sister Wives cast members generally tend to do okay with their MLMs.

Now, Meri is defending her choice to be in an MLM on Instagram.

“Not too long ago I was having a conversation with human extraordinaire, the one and only @danelledelgado,” the TLC personality began. “She had asked me prior to our conversation to be thinking about some things, one being, what impact do I want to make on the world and what do I want to do with my life? This is a question that at 51 I still ponder on the daily. I have so many things going on…. TV show, independent LuLaRoe biz, B&B, among others in the works. All of which I’m super grateful for and proud of!”

Meri went on to explain that through LuLaRoe, she’s been able to help other people start their own businesses.

“People think direct sales, MLM’s, network marketing, whatever you want to label it, is some sort of get rich quick scheme, or pyramid scheme. Neither are true, but that’s for another conversation. These people that want to do the business and have goals, they work to hit them!”

Online users drag other Sister Wives stars for participating in MLMs

Of course, Meri isn’t the only one in an MLM. Christine and Janelle Brown both sell Plexus products. And many online fans have accused them of scamming their followers.

“A ‘friend’ tried to convince me to try Plexus bc it apparently cures MS? HAHA!” a Reddit user wrote on one thread. “I talked to my doctor about it and he made a very good point- with as much as Big Pharma is vilified, don’t you think they’d be selling it if it cured everything?? He also said if that person was really my friend they’d GIVE me the Plexus (if they were really my friend and if it cured MS)!”

MLMs are definitely touchy subjects, but it doesn’t seem like Meri, Janelle, nor Christine will stop selling their products anytime soon.
