Becca Kufrin Details Romantic Proposal To Thomas Jacobs
Former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin broke tradition and proposed to Thomas Jacobs instead of waiting for him to do it. Fans were shocked right along with Thomas over her bold move. However, he loved it and most fans have been supportive and loving as well. Now that everyone knows they are engaged, Becca and Thomas are sharing more about how it all went down. What gave Becca Kufrin the idea to propose to Thomas Jacobs
Bachelor Nation shared what Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs had to say on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast about their engagement and how it all went down.
Becca said before she proposed she asked his mom for her blessing. She always said when Thomas proposed he had to ask her mom first. So, she felt she should do the same for him. Of course, his mom said yes. She said Becca is already a part of their family and she can’t wait to make it all official.
Becca has thought the idea of the woman proposing is pretty awesome and has thought so for a long time. She said, “It’s ‘traditional’ for a man to propose to a woman, but I remember being in eighth grade in dance and at the recital, my ballet teacher proposed to her husband. I remember as an eighth-grader, my first thoughts were ‘That’s weird,’ but then right away I was like, ‘Actually, that’s kind of cool.’ I still remember that moment from decades ago that it was rad to be switching the norm.”
How Becca proposed
Becca said to get Thomas to the location she planned to propose she told him they were doing a photo shoot for her new wine brand. When they got to the location Thomas walked up and almost ruined her plans. He said, “I walk up and I jokingly said, ‘This is really nice. What, are you proposing to me or something?’”
She went along with him and said that for once he was on time so, of course, she was going to propose. Becca thought he knew. However, he didn’t.
The two sat while the photographer took some pictures then she handed him a card. He said he thought it was a little weird. He opened the card and it talked about how she loved spending time with him and wants to spend all of her tomorrow’s with him. Then, there was a QR code that led him to a video of his friends and family telling him everything they loved about him.
Thomas tried to convince Becca they should watch it later since the photographer was there to take pics with the wine. She finally convinced him to watch it.
Thomas said, “Then, finally, at the end of the video, my favorite part of it all, Becca said that she wants me to know that our partnership is 50/50 and she loves me so much and she doesn’t want this to take away from anything I may have had planned. She wanted this to be an expression of her love that adds to our story, and she didn’t want to wait any longer because she knew she wanted to spend her life with me. Then she proposed! She pulled out a ring and it was pure enjoyment.”
The two have been celebrating ever since. They kept it quiet for a bit and now are shouting it from the rooftops.
