Becca Kufrin, Thomas Jacobs Keeping It Untraditional With Last Name
Bachelor in Paradise couple Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs are engaged and planning their future together. She went untraditional when she took the plunge and proposed to him. They had some critics about the way they did things. So, why stop with a proposal? Becca and Thomas are sticking with the non-traditional, especially when it comes to names. Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs dish on future names
The two received love but also backlash for Becca making the bold move of proposing to Thomas. She said she knew he would be okay with it. Becca said Thomas would definitely be appreciative and supportive of the way she did things.
He was and says he feels very fortunate to be doing life with Becca. The two are going to keep their untraditional trend going too. Becca revealed on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that she and Thomas will share last names.
She said, “We’re going to hyphenate. I don’t know if it matters which comes first, like Kufrin-Jacobs or Jacobs-Kufrin, but we’ll for sure hyphenate and we’ll have our kids hyphenate too. They are both of us.”
Thomas explained one of the reasons it is so important for them to use both of their last names. He said, “One of the reasons it’s so special to hyphenate names is because Becca lost her father and it’s her and her sister, so I don’t want to see any scenario where there isn’t a Kufrin around in the world. I think that is a special thing to have.”
Their engagement
Becca surprised Thomas with the proposal. He had no idea it was happening and believed he was at the location for a photo shoot. She even got Thomas’ mother’s blessing before asking him to marry her. His mom gladly gave her blessing telling Becca she was already a part of the family.
Once he figured out what was going on, Thomas revealed his respect for Becca went through the roof. He didn’t know whether to slow clap or say yes.
Either way, the couple is happily engaged and planning their future together.
The two met on Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise. Becca broke up with him on the beach but quickly had second thoughts. She made contact with him shortly after filming and they have been together ever since.
