Hallmark’s Julie Gonzalo Tags Chris McNally In Birth Announcement
It seems that Hallmark’s catchphrase, “Love Happens Here” can be literal. On Sunday, Hallmark star Julie Gonzalo tagged When Calls The Heart’s Chris McNally in a birth announcement.

On Sunday, Julie Gonzalo went to social media to share a birth announcement. She shared a sweet photo of a baby hand, with two other hands touching the baby. She wrote “Our hearts are full…Welcome baby M ♥️” Moreover, she tagged When Calls The Heart star Chris McNally.
Why did Julie Gonzalo tag Chris? A lot of Hearties know that the two have been together for several years. However, this is not public knowledge. That is because this is a very private couple. Therefore Julie and Chris are the proud parents of Baby M.
Julie Gonzalo And Chris McNally Met Filming Hallmark Movie
How did Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally meet? Back in 2018, Chris and Julie Gonzalo co-starred together in the Hallmark movie The Sweetest Heart. How do we know they met on set? Thanks to a previous interview, we know a few details.
When Gonzalo spoke to Fansided at the time of the Hallmark release of The Sweetest Heart, she shared a few mentions of McNally. First, Julie discussed how she developed chemistry with Chris.
She started out by explaining why it is hard to develop chemistry for a movie. Hallmark movies take less than three weeks to film. “It’s so hard to meet someone and then the next day you’re in love. It’s like, how did that happen? It doesn’t. As an artist, you need to find ways to kind of work that in and convey it.”
Next, she shared the first time they met. “The first day we met, it was our camera and our make-up and hair testing.”
She also explained that he was doing double duty. Chris was also starring in a play. However, Julie asked to run lines together so that they could get to know each other better.
We had chatted and he was busy that weekend doing a play. But I was like, if you can squeeze me in at some point, I’d love to just sit down with you, run some lines and run some scenes and discuss some stuff that we need to do, but mostly, just get to know you, get to know each other.
Because at the end of the day, chemistry is about feeling good about the person you’re with and knowing their energy. I’m a true believer in energies and space and all that stuff.
Lastly, she talked about getting to know Chris, and what he was like. It appears that the two hit it off. Moreover, she pretty much gushed about him. Julie was impressed!
So we took the time to just kind of chat and talk and get to know each other as much as we could in the little time that we had. And then throughout the film, we were able to get together after work and read some lines. And he’s such a wonderful, wonderful person and a terrific actor so it was very easy with him.
However, this is a very private couple. Unlike McNally’s When Calls The Heart co-stars, Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace, who met on the Hallmark series set, fell in love, and are Instagram official, he and Gonzalo have kept their relationship private. Astute fans who follow both actors on social media will recognize photos of their dogs.
However, a few years back, the shy actor did refer to her when speaking to ET. He said, “If my girlfriend tells me I’m handsome, that’ll make me feel good.” Moreover, just last September, McNally’s brother Brian shared and tagged Chris and Julie in a photo on Instagram from a wedding.
The McNally brothers were with their lady loves, looking very happy and very dapper. Taken after the wedding, it looked a bit chilly out as both gentlemen gave up their jackets.

When Calls The Heart Stars Share Love In Comments
As Hearties know, the When Calls The Heart cast is very supportive of each other with lots of symbols of love. Erin Krakow responded with “🥰🥰🥰.” Andrea Brooks, “💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕.” Pascale Hutton also used emojis, “💗💗💗💗”
Julie’s Cut, Color, Murder costar, Ryan McPartlin, also commented. “❤️❤️❤️” He likely knew that she was expecting, as they filmed the Hallmark mystery during her pregnancy. This may also be why they have not made a second movie. Yet.
Actor Justin Long, who starred with Julie Gonzalo in Dodgeball feigned fake shock. “Whaaaaaat??? Julie!!! You had a REAL baby! (I hope our movie baby doesn’t get jealous) Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️”
