Will NBC renew The Blacklist for Season 10

Fans will remember that the female lead in The Blacklist, Megan Boone, left at the end of Season 8. She wasn’t alone, as the show’s creator, Jon Bokenkamp also left the show. Currently, fans are watching and enjoying Season 9, so the loss of those two people didn‘t negatively impact the show.

The show has been a popular performer for NBC, which says the show had reached 22 million viewers this season. Even so, fans are concerned that The Blacklist might be canceled rather than heading to Season 10.

James Spader reveals some good news

It turns out male lead and executive producer James Spader appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. At first, he gave the audience goosebumps by revealing a Mother Goose record from his childhood. However, Spader then went on to give fans the official good news. NBC has, indeed, picked up the popular crime drama for the tenth season. Spader is returning in his role as Raymond Reddington, while showrunner John Eisendrath is also back. Viewers will remember he has been on the series since the very start. However, previously he was doing the job alongside Bokenkamp, now he is going alone.

What can we expect from Season 10 of The Blacklist

It has been two years since the death of Boone’s character, Elizabeth Keen. Meanwhile, Reddington and the FBI Task Force members have disbanded. In fact, their lives have changed in unexpected ways, while Raymond’s whereabouts are currently unknown,

They find themselves each at a crossroads, but a common purpose compels them to return to their original mission. That mission is to take down dangerous, eccentric and vicious Blacklisters. While doing so, they will begin to uncover lethal adversaries, surprising betrayals and shocking conspiracies.

These will threaten alliances and bring a need for vengeance for the past. Meanwhile, this need is led by none other than the most devious criminal of all, Spader’s Raymond Reddington. The cast will feature Amir Arison, Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix, Hisham Tawfiq and Laura Sohn.
