At 14, Jennifer Duggar Now Helps Care For Anna & Josh’s Newborn
Is 14-year-old Jennifer Duggar now expected to care for Anna and Josh’s kids? With Josh now behind bars, fans have been wondering how Anna can raise their seven kids on her own. Fans agree that seven kids is a lot for one parent to handle on their own. Anna’s oldest child is 12 years old, while her youngest is just a couple of months old. All of her children are still young and need a lot of care and attention.
Josh is currently in the Washington County Jail in Arkansas, and he will be sentenced in four months. He’s facing decades behind bars, as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.
Shortly before Josh’s trial began, Anna gave birth to her seventh child, a daughter named Madyson Lily. She joins Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, and Maryella. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were reportedly helping out with the kids amid this hard time.
But now, it looks like Jennifer is stepping up to help.

On Instagram, Jana Duggar shared several videos from the family’s Christmas Day festivities. In the background of one of the videos, Jennifer can be seen caring for Josh and Anna’s daughter, Madyson. Jennifer sits on the couch, cradling the newborn baby.
Throughout the other videos, several of Josh and Anna’s kids could be found. However, Anna was nowhere to be seen. So, it’s unclear whether she was there. Could she have just dropped the kids off and expected 14-year-old Jennifer to watch her baby? Or is there a chance that Jennifer was just holding the baby to help out for a little while when Anna was busy?
While Jennifer has been around children her whole life and might be a good helper, she may not be ready to take on such a big resposibility. She may be asked to continue caring for Madyson and Anna’s other children while Josh is behind bars.
There’s now speculation that Jennifer is taking over for Jana after her recent misdemeanor. Maybe the girls’ siblings no longer want Jana to watch their kids.
