Kimberlin Brown has played the role of Sheila Carter on The Bold And The Beautiful for more than 30 years. Her character on the show has been known to throw a twist (or two) into the storyline. When she spoke about what viewers can expect on B&B in the near future, she cautioned everyone that “things aren’t always what they seem.” Here is what the soap star had to say.

Kimberlin Brown Enjoyed Playing Sugar

Bold & Beautiful fans thought they’d seen the last of Sheila Carter earlier this year. Steffy Forrester (portrayed by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) stabbed who viewers thought was Sheila and she died. For several weeks, fans were fuming over losing such an integral character, but many hoped for her return.

As it turns out, the person Steffy killed was actually Sheila’s body double Sugar. So, Sheila Carter effectively returned from the dead, surprising everyone, especially Steffy.

Daytime Confidential spoke with Kimberlin Brown at the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and the Creative and Lifestyle Emmy Awards. Kimberlin spoke about various different things that have made her role on B&B special.

She opened up about playing a dual role in the soap opera for the first time. “That was fun getting to play a little bit of Sugar. Those scenes were fun, and they were challenging because you’re not acting with an actor,” Kimberlin said. “You’re just with someone standing there, and you’re saying your lines to them. So, trying to make that whole dynamic work. It was a challenge, but I loved it.”

It is rare that fans get to see the soap opera villainess scared, but she was. Kimberlin Brown said she liked that the writers decided to go that route. “You know, it shows more of a human side that you don’t normally get to see,” she said of her character.

What’s Next For Sheila Carter On Bold & Beautiful?

Sheila Carter wound up being rescued from her near-death experience with Steffy by her son Finn (Tanner Novlan). Of course, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) played a role in her rescue as well. The entire experience was enough to push Deacon to propose to Sheila.

Kimberlin Brown sported her now-infamous black wedding dress at the Creative Emmys. The soap actress shared the story behind the dress. “Well, I’ve got to tell you the gown was actually designed by Jeresa Featherstone (Costume Designer) and her team. Angelo (Santos) built it,” she said.

After learning that Jeresa was nominated for an award, she knew that she wanted to wear the gown she designed. Kimberlin said, “I just love the way it fits. I love the way it works, and I couldn’t be happier.”

That being said, Kimberlin Brown said that she’s glad Sheila finally found someone she can trust in Deacon. “It’s nice to finally have somebody that has her back,” she said.

However, when it comes to what the upcoming storyline is, Kimberlin said that viewers may be surprised about what’s to come. She hinted, “Things aren’t always what they seem!”
