Par 2 of Vinland Saga Season 2 has an exciting new trailer ahead of its premiere.
Vinland Saga is one of the most exciting shows in anime right now. Its heart-wrenching story and massive action sequences about medieval nordic life have made it extremely successful. The second season began back in January and has done a fantastic job continuing the story of Thorfinn past his revenge-seeking ways in Season 1. Season 2 is split into two parts, the first of which just put out its final episode in late March. Now the second part is set to begin airing soon, and there’s a new trailer showcasing what’s coming.
Let’s talk about everything the trailer shows off for Part 2 of Season 2.
Season 2, Part 2
The trailer for the “Second Cour” of Vinland Saga Season 2 hit the internet recently. It’s subtle in its showcase of a lot of what’s to come in the latter half of the season. It also shows off the song that will be the new opening for this latest batch of episodes. The song is by Survive Said The Prophet with the title Paradox.
Vinland Saga Season 2 covers the entirety of the Slave arc. The Slave arc runs all the way until Volume 14 of the manga. This is a notable shift in the amount of content getting coverage in a single season of the show. In the first season, they did 8 volumes of the manga in 24 episodes. Season 2 has the same amount of episodes but will only cover 6 volumes. There are some concerns among the fans that this will result in the story stretching too thin. As of right now, though, many are very happy with what’s come out.
The creator of Vinland Saga, Makoto Yukimura, has given a lot of praise to the anime for its adaptation. He appreciates some of the changes in pacing and extra content to make it more interesting. As long as the creator and the fans are happy with this new season of Vinland Saga, there’s no reason for any complaints.
Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga draws Game Of Thrones comparisons often since they’re both equally as fantasy as they are brutal depictions of the reality of life in medieval Europe. It’s a fairly old manga, actually, getting its anime adaptation over a decade after the first chapters came out. The manga has 26 volumes as of right now and is still ongoing. So fans can expect plenty more Vinland Saga moving forward.
Vinland Saga Season 2, Part 2 (or, the second cour) will premiere April 4th on Crunchyroll in the US.
