On Friday morning (January 27), TMZ broke the news that the couple is officially out at ABC. This comes amid the news of their alleged affair that was exposed in late November 2022. Both Amy Robach and TJ Holmes aren’t happy with the news. They’re calling the firing and review against them “a witch hunt.”

Sources told TMZ that the network had a “marathon meditation session,” which was “extremely contentious.” Both of the GMA3 co-anchors cut ties with ABC for good. They will receive a payout, per their contracts. Amy Robach and TJ deny all the allegations against them.

There was more found in the internal review other than the alleged affair between the two. ABC couldn’t bring back TJ amid the news of his string of affairs on the set of the morning show. TV Shows Ace previously reported that he hooked up with an intern back in 2015. He had another affair around that time.

Meanwhile, Amy Robach allegedly kept alcohol in her green room. She was caught drinking on the job, which led to her firing. It’s not just the affair with her co-anchor that got her into trouble. ABC calls this a “violation of policy.” A source close to Amy calls this allegation “ridiculous.”

They argue that ABC’s top executives purchased the liquor and sent it to her room. Others think this was the show’s way of getting rid of her. More was found about her co-anchor and boyfriend TJ, who has also been accused of bad behavior. TJ was allegedly rude to those who worked beneath him.

Nothing else has come out about Amy Robach until now. She went to a College Football National Championship last year. Some staffers claimed that she showed up to work the following day inebriated. A source close to Amy calls the accusation  “insane,” arguing that she was exhausted from the night before.

Amy Robach and TJ also didn’t handle their relationship well on the set of the show. They took too long to share the news with ABC’s executives. The execs warned them that their “behavior on set” was “uncomfortable” for staffers to witness. Meditation is ongoing as both sides negotiate the terms of the firings.

Earlier this week, ABC denied that they fired the duo. They also shared they didn’t find replacements for Amy Robach and TJ. The network also said that the two didn’t violate any rules of the policy. Now, it looks like there’s some truth to the firing rumors.
