What Is Reba McEntire’s The Hammer About?
According to The Futon Critic, “Kim Wheeler (McEntire), an outspoken, firecracker lawyer who is appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada and is one of the few traveling judges left in America.
“After the reigning judge passes away under suspicious circumstances, Kim finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno – a rugged, often desolate area where anything and everything can happen.
“With gavel in hand, she lays down the law with a no-nonsense brand of justice, that quickly earns her the nickname ‘The Hammer.'”
Moreover, things soon get crazy when there is an investigation into a former judge’s death. This is because Kim’s sister Kris (Peterman) runs the local brothel. Worst of all, Kim is the main suspect.
Therefore, she must walk a fine line to help clear her sister’s name, as well as investigate who committed this murder.

Another new Ripped From The Headlines movie is Sherri Papini: I Kidnapped Myself. This premieres on Saturday, January 28, at 8 p.m., Eastern. This stars Jaimie King and Matt Hamilton.
Lastly, the final movie from this new group is Gwen Shamblin: Starving For Salvation. This stars Dirty Dancing’s Jennifer Grey.
