Hallmark’s ‘Project Christmas Wish’: Christmas As It ‘Used To Be’
Hallmark’s Miracles of Christmas comes to an end with a very special movie, Project Christmas Wish. Starring Amanda Schull (Suits) and Travis Van Winkle (You), this is a feel-good movie that will last throughout the new year.
Will your Christmas wish come true?
The Story Of Hallmark’s Project Christmas Wish
According to the Hallmark press release, Lucy (Schull) has been her small town’s Santa. Calling her solo venture the “Christmas Crew,” Lucy has been at this for quite some time. She is the person to make the local’s holiday wishes come true.
This Christmas season, Lucy goes to the radio station. She is in search of her Wish of the Season. Whose wish will she grant? Enter Lucas (Van Winkle.) Christmas has not been easy for the attractive widower. He isn’t into Lucy’s whole Christmas wish crew. Unfortunately, he lost the holiday spirit when he lost his wife.
But, Lucas has a daughter, Max (newcomer Averie Peters), who has been looking for an opportunity like this. She sees Lucy as her “direct line” to Santa. So, she publicly tells Lucy what her wish is: For “Christmas like it used to be.”
Now, Max is reluctantly the town’s Wish of the Season. How will Lucy grant this wish? By finding a way to grant him this wish, Lucy’s own wishes come true.
Where Did They Film Hallmark’s Project Christmas Wish?
According to Amanda Schull’s Instagram posts, they filmed Hallmark’s Project Christmas Wish in Carman, Manitoba. This is a very small agricultural town of about 3,000. It is located about 40 minutes southwest of Winnipeg.
Subsequently, she shared a photo of herself, along with Travis Van Winkle, balancing some individually wrapped donuts, all in the name of Covid safety. Amanda wrote, “All things sugar and sweet working with the wonderful @travisvanwinkle. What a lovely man you are my friend – on camera and off. That’s a wrap on Lucy! Such a treat to work on this beautiful @hallmarkChristmas movie #ProjectChristmasWishAiring December 20th on @hallmarkchannel 🎄🎄”
Moreover, what was Travis Van Winkle’s comment? “What an adventure! Thanks for seeing me the way you do 🙌🏽💫”
Of course, if you watched Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding, you saw Amanda. Above all, she was one of the wedding guests, along with Meghan Markle’s other Suits costars. What an incredible event!
