What Is Hallmark’s A Big Fat Family Christmas About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, San Francisco Chronicle photographer, Live Chang (Chan-Kent) prefers to stay behind the lens, not in front of it.
She has curated what she believes to be the perfect life for herself – a little less Chinese and a little more American. As a social media influencer, she even goes by the name Liv Rose.
Her family, on the other hand, represents something a bit more loud, proud and Chinese. They are the infamous Chang family, responsible for throwing the biggest, annual holiday block party in the neighborhood.
The Chang party is a huge event, celebrating their Chinese-American culture. However, Liv finds that their party is over-the-top. Moreover, Liv has managed to keep her family connection a secret.
She has been assigned to cover the Chang’s annual cultural celebration. However, now that she is forced to partner with Henry (Kook), that secret may spill.
Surprisingly, Liv and Henry instantly connect. They enjoy working together to capture the story behind The Changtastic Party. They learn a lot about each other, but can Liv reveal her secret?
Subsequently, everything becomes a disaster. When they were having fun with this assignment, they lost all of the community donations. How can they overcome this?
Liv’s resolve to make things right for her family and the community forces her to overcome her resistance to her heritage and open up to her followers for help; ultimately helping her find herself and true love in the process.
