‘Chainsaw Man’ Anime Is Coming Early To American Viewers

Chainsaw Man is more than just one of the most successful and spoken about manga in recent years. It’s also built a hype train for its anime, which has yet to release a single episode, that can rival almost any anime in recent history. It’s done this via a long production time, with consistent enough teasers to keep fans both attentive and full of excitement.
The premiere is finally on the horizon, and the devil fans are more on edge than ever. Some of those fans in the USA, or abroad, may just get a chance to see the first episode even earlier than the official release date.
An Early Premiere
New York Comic-Con is coming up next month from October 6th through the 9th. As if people weren’t excited enough for the first large-scale nerd convention New York City’s held since pre-pandemic, their Chainsaw Man news has people even more amped. There will be a screening of Episode 1 via Crunchyroll on the second day of the convention. This is big news for any New Yorker Chainsaw Man fans who have been patiently waiting on this show.
The version of the episode they’ll be showing is the English dub. This is to go alongside the Q&A with the English dub cast immediately afterward. For some, that might be a bit of a bummer. Many non-Japanese-speaking anime fans tend to prefer watching with subtitles rather than with dubbing. If that’s the case with you, then learning that the screening will be for the English dub may feel like a bit of a rug pull. But if it’s not, then you still have plenty of excitement to hold as October 7th rapidly approaches. Yet, even if you can’t make it to NYC, the show will still come to Crunchyroll (dubbing and subtitles) just 4 days later.
Chainsaw Man Takes The World
Chainsaw Man is an ongoing manga with 12 volumes and 15 million copies already sold. With accolades and awards continuing to pour in, and Part 2 just beginning, it’s safe to say that the anime will likely run for a long time. Hopefully, Tatsuki Fujimoto, the writer of the Chainsaw Man manga, will continue steadily putting out Part 2 chapters. This way there won’t have to be a long gap between seasons as we wait for the manga to catch up.
