‘1000-Lb. Best Friends’: Meghan’s New Path To Self-Acceptance
Body confidence can be really challenging and doesn’t come naturally to everyone. But 1000-Lb. Best Friends star Meghan Crumpler is definitely trying her best.
Throughout the show’s first season, fans saw Meghan struggle with her self-confidence — even after she received bariatric surgery. Her friends continuously tried to lift her up, but self-acceptance was something Meghan continued to struggle with.
But now, it really seems like the TLC personality is in a much better headspace and on a better path. Keep reading to learn more about her journey.

Meghan might still be having a tough time accepting herself, but she’s definitely trying.
“…I’ve been [trying] to do selfies lately a lot more… it’s part of my self love movement…” the 1000-Lb. Best Friends star began on Instagram. “I wanted to share some of my moments with you where I’m feeling pretty… I honestly have many sides to me that I often don’t share like the women in me that is more edgy in style… maybe it’s because I fear of it not looking right on me, because of my size or fear of judgement…”
Meghan went on to discuss her tattoos and piercings. They’re part of what makes her unique.
“I actually have a few, & would love to have more later when I’m able…” she continued. “I also love the boldness in me… I’m not scared to wear a statement piece or large earrings… I’m whatcha call extra 😂… I love 💄 makeup & skin care too… so now that I’ve shared a little about me… here is some of my recent selfies… 😘#selflove #1000LbBestFriends #wls”
Meghan attached several selfies that showed off her newfound sense of confidence. And fans were wildly supportive.
“You are beautiful! Never fear what others think, be the bold and extra fun person you are meant to be!” wrote one follower.
“Looking good girl! I hope you’re feeling good too!! Keep up the work!” added someone else.
Will Meghan, Vannessa, and the other women be back for a second season?
There’s no official word if 1000-Lb. Best Friends will return for Season 2. But fans are really hoping a second season is in question. It’s entirely possible that TLC is already filming new episodes and opting not to tell fans yet.
Meghan definitely made many positive changes since Season 1 came out, but so has Vannessa. She isn’t posting any full-body shots online, but her recent selfies indicate that she’s lost quite a bit of weight too.
