Now, those who tune into this series when it premieres may recognize the cast as best friends Vannessa Cross and Meghan Crumpler were previously featured on Too Large.
Too Large is also a series about morbidly obese individuals struggling to lose weight. The series started out as a Discovery+ Original. It, however, was later picked up by TLC and renewed for a second season. With Vannessa Cross and Meghan Crumpler getting picked up for a series of their own. And, Too Large cast member Corey Phelps walking away from the show… Fans assume Too Large Season 2 will feature a whole new cast.
Those who watched Too Large fell in love with Vannessa Cross and Meghan Crumpler pretty quickly. And, they were thrilled when these best friends were picked up for a series of their own.
What To Expect From This New TLC Series?
The 44-year-old says in the trailer for the new series: “I’m Vannessa, this is my best friend Meghan. Me and this girl have been struggling with our weight since junior high. We is big.”
“We big as h***,” her best friend Meghan Crumpler adds to the conversation.
Turns out, Vannessa and Meghan once weighed around 1000-Lbs. collectively. This was when they decided they wanted weight loss surgery. One of the most difficult requirements is to lose a set amount of weight to prove they can continue to lose weight after the surgery. Meghan Crumpler ended up qualifying for the surgery. Vannessa, however, struggled with losing weight and was NOT approved for the surgery.
Fans expect the new TLC series to feel a little more like watching an episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters as it hones in and focuses on the lives of Vannessa Cross and Meghan Crumpler.
