As of early next year, The God Committee will find its SVOD home on Netflix in the US, and probably other regions.

American director Austin Stark wrote and directed The God Committee. He is likely best known for his work on the 2009 movie Peter and Vandy, the 2014 movie Infinitely Polar Bear and The Runner in 2015.

The plot revolves around a hospital committee, formed to make heart-wrenching decisions that often result in a patient either living or dying. The YouTube synopsis reads, “Medicine, money and morality clash in The God Committee.” It is described as a “timely medical drama about an organ transplant committee who have one hour to decide which of three patients deserves a life-saving heart.” Seven years later, the committee members struggle with the consequences of that fateful decision.

Who stars in the SVOD movie on Netflix?

The cast is headed up by Kelsey Grammer in the role of Dr. Andre Boxer. He is best known for his role as Dr. Frasier Crane on the 1982 sitcom Cheers and in the 1993 beloved spinoff, Frasier. According to the official IMDb page, the other cast includes Julia Stiles as Dr. Jordan Taylor. She made a name for herself, co-starring with Matt Damon in the Bourne series, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. More recently in 2010, Stiles is known for her role in Dexter.

Janeane Garofalo plays the role of Dr. Valerie Gilroy. She is known for her many movie roles, including The Truth About Cats and Dogs, The Matchmaker, Wet Hot American Summer, Clay Pigeons and Sweethearts. Meanwhile, the role of Father Dunbar is played by iconic Fear the Walking Dead star, Colman Domingo. He has also had roles in several movies, including Lincoln, The Butler, Selma, The Birth of a Nation and If Beale Street Could Talk.

Dan Hedaya plays the role of Emmett Granger while Peter Kim plays Dr. Lau. Meanwhile, Patricia R. Floyd plays the role of Nurse Wilkes.

When does The God Committee premiere?
