Russell Crowe recently made an appearance at the French Open. The moment proved to be memorable for the star for multiple reasons, with the star making the big catch of the day. He also flaunted a new figure, which got fans talking on social media.

Crowe is a New Zealand-born Australian actor. He gained international recognition after appearing in films including L.A. Confidential, The Insider, Gladiator, and A Beautiful Mind. Other films he has starred in include Cinderella Man, Master and Commander, Man of Steel, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Nuremberg.

In his personal life, Crowe was married to Danielle Spencer from 2003 to 2018, sharing two sons together. In 2020, Crowe was romantically linked to Britney Theriot, with whom he co-starred in the crime thriller Broken City.

Recently, Crowe and Theriot were spotted in Paris, France, on Day One of the 2026 French Open. The actor could be seen with a navy-blue suit, light blue tie, and sunglasses. He was also sporting his trademark white beard with slicked-back grey hair. Theriot also appeared to be wearing a matching blazer.

Crowe Also Caught A Ball During The Game

During the event, Crowe even managed to catch a ball. However, what really made an impression on fans was seeing him flaunt a new figure after he reportedly lost around 50 pounds.

Back in 2024, Crowe discussed losing weight during an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. He shared, “I was 126 kilos when I finished Nuremberg. I’m 100.9 now.”

The actor explained that his weight loss came from a new lifestyle focusing on diet and exercise. He especially attributed his weight loss to Rogan introducing him to a new platform, Ways2Well, which makes use of various aids, including bloodwork and peptide therapy.

Crowe, noting that he endured years of sports injuries and arthritis, shared, “I’m not really across the science. But the real benefit I’m getting from these into my shoulders, my knees, and also IVs, is that it’s calmed down my body’s inflammation.”
