Ree Drummond’s Family Shares Big Announcement
Fans have been following “Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond and her family on social media even before her Food Network show. Recently, the family had some big news to share with fans. Since then, Ree herself has also shared her reaction, as well as some more information.
The Pioneer Woman‘s Family Shared Big News On Social Media
Ree became known to many through her blog, “The Pioneer Woman,” which focused on her life in rural Oklahoma. This led to her own Food Network series of the same name.
In her personal life, Ree married Ladd Drummond in 1996. The two share five children together.
As fans know, Ree’s daughter Alex and her husband, Mauricio Scott, share a daughter, Sofia Marie Scott. Born on December 18, 2024, Sofia is Ree’s first grandchild.
Recently, on social media, Alex announced some big news: she and her husband are expecting their second child. In the post, which was shared on Instagram, Alex could be seen holding Sofia while Mauricio held a series of photos showing off Sofia’s new sibling. The family’s dog, George, also appeared in the pic.
In a caption, Alex wrote, “Here we go again!! Another little blessing coming in September. Thank you, Lord, for our growing family!” As an added joke, she teased, “George is still processing the news.”
The carousel post featured the family gathered around the photos in a number of poses. Some photos featured Sofia holding the photo set of her new baby brother or sister. The final photo, however, was of George, showing off a “Big Brother” kerchief he was wearing around his neck.
Ree Shared Some More Info, Like When The Baby Is Due
The soon-to-be grandmother of two herself also reacted to the news. In a simple post, she shared, “Ree Ree is just so happy. Love you guys!! Wheee!!!”
Ree shared a bit more information about the news on her blog. The Food Network star shared that the baby’s expected arrival is already a day near and dear to the family. She wrote, “The new baby is due Sept. 21 (my and Ladd’s wedding anniversary). So, we have a few months to keep getting more and more excited.”
Reportedly, Alex and Mauricio are planning a gender reveal in the future. This caused Ree to joke, “Despite the fact that I strongly advised Alex and Mauricio to wait and be surprised, Alex ain’t wired that way.”
Naturally, other friends, fans, and followers shared their own reactions in the comments. During the original post, many fans were already anticipating Ree’s reaction to the big news. That said, some teased that George was the one who stole the show during the big reveal. Some comments included:
