‘On Patrol: Live’ Heartbreaking Deputy Swanger Health Update
On Patrol: Live fans have been concerned about Deputy Dalton Swanger, who was hurt on the job and landed himself in the hospital. There were many prayers and even some confusion as to his status, but ultimately, he seemed to be on a good track. Sadly, things may have gone downhill, and he needs more support than ever. Heartbreaking Deputy Swanger Health Update
When Deputy Dalton Swanger was attacked, it was a terrifying time. Misinformation was overflowing from everywhere, and no one knew what was right. Was he okay, or had his incident permanently harmed him for life? Eventually, his family came out and spoke regarding his injuries and what was going on with him. It seemed he was doing his best, and On Patrol: Live fans were over the moon. Deputy Swanger had been in a medically induced coma but was alert and awake. Finally, he was off his ventilator and on the path to recovery.
Fans and followers have wanted a new update, and it seems that things are not going as smoothly as anticipated. He now has a “rare and life-threatening airway condition,” thus, breathing is an uphill battle. In order for him to have a chance at recovering and another chance at life, a GoFundMe has been set up. The goal is to assist Deputy Swanger in obtaining the medical help he desperately needs to get his life back. Per the description on the GFM, the last hope he has “is a complex, high-risk tracheal resection surgery.”
Currently, the goal is $10K, which is more than achievable given the strong On Patrol: Live fanbase. However, the family has already raised about half of that within two days. Therefore, it can only go up from here now that there is more widespread awareness. It is unclear if the GoFundMe will be shared on the latest episodes of OPL, but it would certainly help those who love Deputy Swanger. At the same time, there is even more to this heroic story.
Looking For The Light
Deputy Dalton Swanger has had the love and support of his On Patrol: Live family. However, his partner, Stephania Pumphrey, has been faithfully by his side. Aside from raising funds, the next challenge is getting a hospital to perform the surgery. After learning that this is what he was going through, show fans immediately chimed in, noting the fear of seeing him get injured:
- Praying that he finds the doctor soon and everything is good. We actually watched that episode on OPL when it happened.
- I had been thinking about him and not heard anything except the other day. I hope he can find a top notch surgeon to perform this surgery on his trachea. And that his body can heal properly.
Along with the thoughts and prayers, dozens of hospital recommendations flooded in. Everyone wants to do whatever they can for the Deputy and is keeping the faith.
