Later on social media, Abrams noted that the tea was hot and that he apologized to Wilson after the fact. As he wrote on X, “Yes, I apologized to @CurtisWilson275 for spilling that hot tea on him during #FirstShift #OPLive. I felt terrible . . . but he is a trooper (well technically a deputy but you get the point).”

  • “It was hot???? Now I feel bad for laughing hysterically.”
  • “That’ll teach Curtis to stop taking weeks off!”
  • “Thank you for apologizing, even though he knows you didn’t mean to do it. Is there a cover available for your cup?”
  • “Don’t worry about it. I come from a family who also talks w/their hands and I’ve/we’ve spilled so many things that way! Just be thankful it wasn’t my mom who once gesticulated widely and accidentally smacked a passing waiter below the belt.”
