A Florida woman became concerned for her baby grandson after picking up from his babysitter’s home. Eventually, things took a dark turn when the child had to be rushed to the ER. The child’s babysitter has since been accused of poisoning the boy with antifreeze.

At One Point, The 11-Year-Old Boy Went Into A Full Cardiac Arrest

The story initially came to light when a Florida grandmother picked up her 11-month-old grandson from his babysitter, Anna Adamo’s home. The woman noticed her grandson seemed more tired than usual after picking him up.

In time, the boy’s mother also noticed something was off. In addition to seeming lethargic, the boy was unable to hold his head up.

Things took a turn when the boy started throwing up an usual vomit, described as clear and sticky, with an unusual smell. The boy was then rushed to the ER as the family feared for his life.

According to People, an affidavit claimed that the child also needed CPR and was sent to three different hospitals. At one point, after being taken to another hospital, the boy had a full cardiac arrest. According to the affidavit, “the amount of damage to the child’s renal system is yet to be determined.”

Someone Close To Adamo Has Also Since Made Further Accusations Against Her

Suspicion then fell on Adamo. As the affidavit shared, the boy was originally presented to his sitter in “perfect health.” However, he was later found “suffering from the effects of Ethylene Glycol (antifreeze) poisoning, as diagnosed by doctors.”

In early October, Adamo was arrested in Georgia and extradited back to Florida. Reportedly, her arrest took place after an eight-month investigation. She has since been charged with “first-degree attempted murder, aggravated child abuse – aggravated battery, and poison food, water, medicine w/intent to kill or injure,” according to court records.

On October 15, Adamo was released from jail on a bond of $600,000. Speaking with CBS 12 News, Anna’s son, Aiden Adamo, has since spoken out about his mother, accusing her of past abuse.

Aiden shared, “She’s in a position where she can no longer harm children.” He alleged that his mother used lighters, knives, and even razor blades against him. He continued, “Everyday, I woke up between the ages of 11 and 14 just dreading the day ahead, terrified of this woman and just so beyond frustrated that no one would listen to me.”

Aiden, sharing remorse that the abuse didn’t stop with him, also made note of another alleged abuse case concerning his mother in 2014. At that time, a child in her care had also similarly gotten sick.
