Kate Gosselin Responds To Collin’s Post About Siblings Being Forced Apart
Collin Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 fame recently made headlines as he discussed feeling that he had been separated from his siblings in a post on social media. Since then, his mother Kate has responded to the claims. This came out following a video she shared on social media.
Collin Gosselin Previously Shared A Slideshow About Him & His Siblings On TikTok
Viewers came to know the Gosselin family through the reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8. Following Jon and Kate’s separation, the show was retooled to Kate Plus 8, focusing on Kate as a divorced mother.
As fans know, Collin is one of Jon and Kate’s children, coming from the couple’s set of sextuplets. When he was eleven years old, Collin was admitted to the Fairmount Behavioral Health Institute. In 2018, his father, Jon, was awarded custody of him.
Earlier this month, Collin shared a post on TikTok, talking about feeling estranged from his siblings. In a slideshow, he shared an image of him with his siblings during their younger years. A caption read, “Born to be a team, us against the world…”
The second photo showed Collin in a driver’s seat. A caption read, “Forced to do it alone, and wonder everyday what our lives could’ve looked like.” The slideshow was set to Adele’s “Hometown Glory.”
Fans Discussed Collin’s Recent Share In The Comments To One Of Kate’s TikTok Videos
Earlier this week, Collin’s mother shared a response to her son’s claims after sharing a recent TikTok video. During the share, Kate revealed she had returned to her nursing career. As she noted, “Reality TV doesn’t pay as well as it should when you have to provide for 8 kids on your own.”
Kate didn’t directly address Collin’s claims in the video itself. However, one commenter shared a photo of Collin’s post in the comments. Kate herself responded to this, writing, “He knows why,” complete with a crying face emoji.
Kate Gosselin Herself Became Part Of The Conversation
The original poster responded to this, writing, “No one knows what truly happened behind closed doors. But what I do know is that everyone deserves to have a second chance in life, especially if any mistakes were done when they were children. Forgiveness is so important in life and I pray one day your children and yourself can give him a chance.”
Some fans sympathized with Collin, especially highlighting his age at the time. Others showed sympathy with Kate. As one fan wrote, “How do you know? How do you know what happened…” In a later comment, Kate herself wrote, “Bingo!”
Fans continued to discuss the story on both sides in the comments. That said, a few fans also expressed the hope that the family could one day patch things up. Some comments included:
