WWE Legend Hulk Hogan Suddenly Dies At 71
WWE icon Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71. This comes out after months of rumors surrounding Hogan’s health. According to reports, police and emergency personnel were at the star’s home around the time of his passing.
Paramedics Were At Hulk Hogan’s Home During This Past Thursday Morning
Terry Gene Bollea, better known by his ring name, Hulk Hogan, started his career as a wrestler in 1977. He gained recognition after signing with the World Wrestling Federation, now known as WWE. Gaining prominence in the 1980s, he had often been hailed as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time.
Starting in the 1990s, Hogan transitioned into a career in film and television. He was famously the focus of the reality series, Hogan Knows Best, which ran for four seasons.
According to TMZ Sports, Hogan has passed away at the age of 71. Medics had been dispatched to the wrestler’s Clearwater, Florida, home early on Thursday morning. At the time, operators said the issue was a “cardiac arrest.”
According to reports, multiple police cars and emergency personnel were parked outside the star’s home. He was carried on a stretcher to an ambulance.
There Had Been Rumors Surrounding Hogan Over The Past Few Months
As the publication noted, Hogan’s wife, Sky, previously denied rumors that the star was in a coma. His heart was said to be “strong” as he recovered from surgeries.
The publication claimed that there were previous stories of Hogan being on his “deathbed.” However, at the time, this was mostly seen as him dealing with the fallout of a neck procedure from back in May.
According to The U.S. Sun, Hogan’s official cause of death has not been officially revealed. At this time, Hogan’s family also hasn’t responded to the news of his passing.
According to the publication, the World Wrestling Entertainment organization also confirmed Hogan’s passing in a statement. It read, “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
In his personal life, Hogan was married to Linda Claridge from 1983 to 2009, Jennifer McDaniel from 2010 to 2021, and Sky Daily from 2023 until his passing. He is survived by his children, Brooke and Nick Hogan. In addition to appearing on the Hogan Knows Best television series, Brooke is also known for being the title star of the spin-off series, Brooke Knows Best.
