Radar Online spoke with an insider who revealed a deeper look into Katy’s claims that American Idol is the reason why things are bad for her right now. The source said, “Katy is at the end of her rope. She’s faced a backlash that’s unprecedented for an artist who didn’t do anything criminal. And she’s convinced it all started with American Idol.”
According to the inside source, Katy believes that producers are to blame after painting her to be the show’s villain.
They said, “Katy thought she was elevating her career as a judge on Idol, but now she says it left her overexposed and made her a punchline. Katy wishes she’d never done the show.”
Katy signed on with American Idol in 2018. She agreed to a $25 million a year contract. Most fans thought she was rude to contestants. Finally, Perry had had enough. She left the show and has been replaced by country superstar Carrie Underwood.
