Rachael Ray ‘Shaken Up’ Mourns Devastating Loss

Rachael Ray Mourns Sad Loss
Talk show host and celebrity chef Rachael Ray is very shaken up, and she mourns a loss that has broken her heart. This person who passed away holds a special place in her heart, and she’s having trouble facing the fact that she’s gone forever.
Rachael went to Instagram to share her thoughts and sadness with her fans. Everyone in the Food Network family has been mourning the tragic and sudden loss of Anne Burrell. She sadly passed away very unexpectedly at the age of 55 on June 17.
Ray had a special friendship with the Food Network star and was even a bridesmaid at her wedding. She shared several photos on social media of herself and Anne together. One special photo was at her wedding, while others were in the studio together.
Rachael began her post by saying,
“The news about Anne has truly shaken us. John and I are heartbroken. I can’t quite believe it — such a strong, vibrant, fearless woman, so full of life and love, could be gone so soon.”
She went on to say that Anne was a rockstar. They met through multiple seasons of Worst Cooks, but their relationship grew to so much more than professional.
Ray continued her tribute to Anne Burrell by saying,
“Anne honored me by asking me to be her bridesmaid, something I’d only done once before for my sister. Despite being surrounded by incredible chefs, she never once made me feel self-conscious about not being one — she always treated me as one of the gang. When we hosted Worst Cooks together, we had the most incredible laughs. She even cooked for me and my guests at my wedding anniversary in Italy.”
She said more incredible things about Anne, including saying she’s a rockstar. Rachael noted loving walking into the studio and hearing her music blasting from her dressing room. She had great taste in music, and everyone loved her energy.
She Will Miss Her Deeply
Rachael Ray went on to say that she will miss Anne Burrell and their friendship deeply. She noted that she’s sending love to her husband and to everyone who knew and loved Anne. Rachael ended by saying that they lost someone truly special.
Anne Burrell died unexpectedly on Tuesday. Her husband found her unresponsive in the shower. At first, details about the cause of death were not known. However, now, it’s being speculated that perhaps she went into cardiac arrest while taking a shower.
When her husband found her, the body was already cold, and it’s unclear whether or not he tried to perform CPR. She was pronounced dead on arrival by paramedics. Police released a statement saying, “Officers responded to a 911 call of an aided female inside 505 Court Street, within the confines of the 76 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 55-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced the female deceased at the scene.”
Anne hosted Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Burrell also wrote Cook Like a Rock Star. She brought a lot to the table and was loved in the celebrity chef community.

Robert Irvine also worked closely with Anne and posted his own lengthy social media post expressing his sadness and devastation at her passing.
While cardiac arrest is suspected, the official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner after autopsy results are reviewed.
