Hearties Call Out When Calls The Heart Spinoff Plot Hole
Hearties are excited that Great American Family is going to air Season 2 of the When Calls The Heart spinoff When Hope Calls. According to Parade, Cindy Busby is joining the cast as attorney Nora Anderson. However, Busby also portrayed Marlise Bennett in Season 4 of WCTH. Marlise is Dr. Carson Shepherd’s (Paul Greene) sister-in-law. Amber was Carson’s late wife and Marlise’s sister.
One alert Heartie went to social media to point out this issue. “With season 2 of When Hope Calls coming out, there is a huge plot hole the writers missed. Cindy Busy is playing a new character in season 2, but she also played Carson’s sister in a few episodes of When Calls The Heart. Since they are in the same universe, there are two versions of Cindy Busby in this world. Edit: It’s not really that big of a deal lol I just thought it was funny.”

This is not that different from classic shows like Columbo or Murder She Wrote. Sometimes there is overlap. As this is an eight season gap, it seems likely that Hearties and Hopefuls will overlook this plot hole and embrace Cindy in this new role.
