Fans Think Morgan Kohan Is Leaving When Hope Calls

On Tuesday night, Great American Family made a big announcement. According to TV Line, they are premiering the When Calls The Heart spinoff When Hope Calls on Sunday, April 6, a couple of weeks after WCTH Season 12 ends on Hallmark. Returning for the series are OG star Morgan Kohan, Ryan-James Hatanka (Mountie Gabriel), Wendy Crewson (Tess), and Hanneke Talbot (Maggie). Added to the series are Cindy Busby (Nora), Christopher Russell (Mountie Michael), and Nate Bateman (Wyatt).

However, fans in the comments showed concern about  Sullivan’s Crossing, Morgan Kohan’s CW series. She stars with Chad Michael Murray. It was recently renewed for Season 3. Could Kohan star in both? One fan gave a thoughtful reply that others agreed with.

Kohan isn’t playing this up, at all, on her socials. Like, no mention of a thing that is a HUGE thing in her career. Given the big names being attached to this, and that GAF is seemingly positioning this as its big draw. I think that Kohan will exit this show at the end. She might be back in some capacity going forward, but I think she is coming back, per contractual demands, to finish out her characters’s storyline. Then she’ll leave. And the new additions will become the center pieces of the story.

After cautioning that there was no inside information, this poster did not think that Morgan would return unless “Sullivan starts to sputter.”

This poster is very savvy with what is happening with the talented Morgan Kohan. She has nothing on her socials that indicates that she is part of When Hope Calls Season 2. However, she is part of the preview. Therefore, Hearties and Hopefuls should temper their expectations of Morgan Kohan’s involvement in Season 2.

Mogan Kohan Stars In Sulivan’s Crossing

When Hope Calls has had a long history. Originally, this series premiered on the streaming channel, then called Hallmark Movies Now, in 2019. Although it wound up airing on the linear channel after When Calls The Heart, the network did not renew. Then, GAF took it over. They released a two-part Christmas special that featured Lori Loughlin and Daniel Lissing, but they did not complete that season beyond the holiday episodes as promised.

However, Morgan Kohan signed on for Sullivan’s Crossing. This series has been an instant hit. Moreover, it is based on the Robyn Carr novels. Carr also wrote Virgin River. Therefore, fans assume this series will last many seasons. Therefore, it seems that Morgan has hedged her bets on The CW series and perhaps does not feel as confident about the future of When Hope Calls based on the long delays.

Hearties and Hopefuls, do you think Morgan Kohan is leaving?
