‘Mystery Island’ Star Elizabeth Hentsridge On The ‘Surprise’ Of ‘Winner Takes All’

To the delight of Sleuthers, Hallmark has made more Mystery Island movies including the latest one that will premiere on Thursday, Winner Takes All. The star of this movie, Elizabeth Henstridge, who is well-known in both the DC (Superman & Lois) and Marvel (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) worlds, is returning to the lush tropical paradise as Dr. Emilia Priestly, a criminal psychologist. In addition, Charlie Weber is back as the dishy Detective Jason Grant, and Kezia Burrows, as Emilia’s best pal, Baroness Jane Alcott. Janey is one of the original investors in this mystery weekend of fun, and now both Emilia and Jason help create the plots for the mystery weekends.
However, this time around, those who are playing amateur sleuths are not the rich and famous. Instead, they are normal people who won a contest. What does Elizabeth Henstridge say about this “surprise” Hallmark mystery movie sequel?

Elizabeth Henstridge Talks About The ‘Surprise’ Of Winner Takes All
Sleuthers are buzzing about the return of Mystery Island: Winner Takes All. However, according to an interview with Niagara Frontier Publications Why Papers, Elizabeth Henstridge was equally surprised that the stories would continued. Moreover, she did not know that there could be more than this movie, but was happy that something this “magical” could continue.
I didn’t know that was the plan. I think everybody was pleased how the first Mystery island was received. And I think, you do some projects and you go, ‘Oh, there’s something really fun here. there’s some magic here.’
She continued that no matter what the numbers said, in the end, this was a special group of people that “got on so well.” Most of all, “It’s lighthearted, it’s family-friendly, and I think it was more just everything clicked and worked.”
In talking about this second movie, Henstridge reveals that her character Emilia now is “with a bit more purpose in her life.” Emilia can see that this project is “good for me,” despite being a type A who has a hard time loosening up.

Will There Be More Mystery Island Movies?
Elizabeth Henstridge was asked whether there will be more Mystery Island movies. Her answer was, “I think the odds are not zero. We had such a good time filming that there’s definitely positivity around it.” Therefore it sounds like there will be more.
That could easily be seconded by our exclusive interview with Mystery Island and Mystery 101 scribe John Christian Plummer. His response was, “I can’t give specifics, but I can say this won’t be our last visit to Mystery Island.
