A recent video of Mama June Shannon “out of breath” has fans worried about her health. The reality star has been on a health journey for several months and has dropped nearly 100 pounds. When Mama June Shannon first burst onto the scene, she did not care about her health or that of her family. Their meals were anything but healthy and this was featured in her family’s first reality series, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. After it was canceled, she underwent a complete transformation. June had weight loss surgery, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, and skin removal. Plus, she had a whole set of veneers put in and looked like a completely different woman. Unfortunately, substance abuse soon took over her life. When she began to recover, the pandemic hit and she stopped caring about what she ate.
Over time, she started gaining weight and did try to get a weight loss surgery modification. Her doctor explained she needed to fix her bad habits first. Sadly, her daughter, Anna Cardwell got sick in early 2023 and June blamed the stress of that for eating horribly and continuing to gain. Finally, in April 2024, she started weight loss drugs and this has helped her immensely. She looks renewed and happy but a recent video has fans worried for her.
Mama June shared a TikTok of her, Kaitlyn, Justin Stroud, and his mother, Mama Dukes, deplaning. They had arrived in Colorado to see Alana Thompson and Dralin Carswell. However, as June was walking through the airport, she struggled to breathe. This is not normal for someone who claims she goes to the gym and has lost a lot of weight.
She even shared another video as they prepared to fly and fans were worried:
- Slow down and try breathing between words when talking! It will make it a lot easier to understand what your saying.

Mama June Shannon is notorious for speaking too fast and rushing through whatever she has to say. Therefore, sharing her thoughts while rushing in a freezing cold climate may be a struggle for anyone. As concerning as it was that June was out of breath in her video, fans were thrilled to see her on her journey. She was showing who had gotten their wings and expressed condolences for the recent Delta plane crash:

Mama Dukes also chimed in with excitement about getting her wings:

Looks like they are all set for a fun adventure but hopefully, Mama June’s lungs are prepared for the cold because she appeared to be struggling just walking through an airport.
