Mama June Sued By Kylee’s Grandma, Shocking Allegations
Mama June Shannon has been sued by her granddaughter, Kylee Cardwell’s grandmother. She has shocking allegations against June but what is she alleging and does she have a case? Keep reading as to what Kylee’s grandmother has to say.
Mama June Sued By Kylee’s Grandma
It has been a long and tumultuous road between Mama June Shannon and her late daughter, Anna Cardwell’s ex-husband, Michael Cardwell. Before Anna passed from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma, she did not have a definitive plan as to what would happen to her eldest daughter, Kaitlyn. She knew her youngest, Kylee would go to Michael as that was their only biological child together. However, Kaitlyn’s father was never determined and Michael came into her life when she was a baby. When Anna did make custody decisions, she wanted Kaitlyn to go to her husband and longtime partner, Eldridge Toney.
June did not think that was the best idea but it did not matter as no papers were filed before Anna died. Kaitlyn went to June but was soon smacked with custody papers by Michael. Fans felt Michael should have both girls as they needed each other since they were grieving. That did not happen and June was granted custody of Kaitlyn. Now, Kylee’s grandmother and Michael’s mother, Tanya Cardwell, has filed a suit against June for defamation, according to Elle Bee.
It was filed in December 2024 and Mama June stated that she has not done anything Tanya is accusing her of. She also claimed this came after Michael Cardwell lost the custody case. June countersued for pain and suffering as well as legal fees. As for defamation, June has a history of bashing Michael and his family, saying he was abusive.
June Wanted Cash?
There are allegations that Mama June wanted a life insurance policy on Anna Cardwell when she was sick. So, she contacted Tanya Cardwell, who is an insurance agent. She told her she could not obtain one as it was a pre-existing condition. However, when Anna passed, Michael Cardwell and his wife, London started buying new cars and a home so it was questioned if he had a life insurance policy from when he was married to Anna. It is also alleged that Tanya may have helped Michael obtain a policy illegally.
Elle Bee pointed out that both Michael and London work very hard so they can easily afford new cars and a home. It is unclear what will happen with this case but if June will learn anything, it is to be careful what she says on social media.
