‘The View’ Joy Behar Missing From Show, Why?
Joy Behar has been missing from The View of late, and the network got Star Jones to fill in for the popular and controversial panelist on the show. So, why has Joy been missing, and what do we know about it?
The View Has Been Missing A Lot Of Key Pieces
When you have a popular show like The View, which has very distinct members as part of the discussion panel, it becomes incredibly obvious when one of the ladies is out. This has been the case recently for Whoopi Goldberg, as Joy Behar has filled in as the moderator of the discussion whenever Whoopi isn’t around.
As much as The View viewers do love Joy Behar, the vast majority of watchers are not fans of Joy’s style when it comes to moderating discussions and moving them along. Many agree that she is better in her role of being the outspoken, loud personality that viewers have come to know and love.
Joy Behar Has Been Missing From Her Seat As Well
It turns out, it has not been just Whoopi Goldberg who has been missing from her spot on The View. Even Joy Behar has been missing in action. The network brought on Star Jones to fill in for Joy, but, still, that leaves many people wondering what Joy has been up to that has caused her to miss time.
Whoopi Goldberg even made sure to give Star Jones a warm welcome as she filled in for Joy Behar, saying: “Do not try and adjust your television set! Joy is not here today, but joining us at the…But look! One of the OGs, the fabulous Star Jones.”
The View: Joy Behar Has Been Working Hard
Prior to her recent absence, Joy Behar has been working hard at The View. In addition to filling in as the moderator when Whoopi was away, Joy was also a moderator for The Weekend View as well. It’s speculated that Joy needed a break after doing all of that moderating.
If that were not enough on her plate, Joy Behar is also preparing for her role in My First Ex-Husband, an off-Broadway play. Starring in these types of productions takes a lot of time, energy, and commitment, so it would not be a surprise if Joy is taking time to rest and relax before the performances kick into gear.

The shows for this production will run through February 23, 2025. So, Joy will have plenty to keep her busy for however long she decides to stay away from The View set.
