‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Moms Livid, Blast Show For Going Too Far
Wheel Of Fortune has been a family-friendly game show that has been on the air for decades. The way that some moms feel about the program, however, many of them are calling out the game show for no longer being as “family-friendly” as it used to be. What’s the latest on this recent backlash, and what are other viewers saying?
Popular Game Shows Have Been Under Fire For Not Being All Ages
When it comes to popular game shows like Wheel Of Fortune, there is a lot of history and nostalgia attached to these programs. Many people grew up watching the show as kids, and now, many of them watch the show as adults with their own families.
As viewers have seen with other popular game shows like Family Feud, many viewers have called out the show for becoming considerably more raunchy in the present than it was in the past, particularly with many of the survey questions and answers featured on the show.
Based on recent events on Wheel Of Fortune, a website called One Million Moms recently wrote a scathing post criticizing the game show for no longer being appropriate for all ages, and the website did not pull any punches, either.

Angry Moms Call Out Wheel Of Fortune, What Happened?
In the post, the website pointed to a recently-added puzzle category called “What The Fun.” With the addition of this kind of category, the website notes, “Unfortunately, the recently added puzzle category “What the Fun” aims at a mature, modern audience with insinuated profanity making it no longer suitable for family viewing.”
In light of this new puzzle category being added to the program, the website continued, saying, “It is not the show it was with this implication of the f-word. This is unnecessary in any program, especially one marketed for the entire family. Parents will have to explain to their children that the primetime program they were once allowed to watch is no longer a clean show.”

Wheel Of Fortune Viewers Have A Different Take
On the other side of this coin, many Wheel Of Fortune watchers responded to this criticism, with many people feeling like the website is making something out of nothing.

- One commenter said, “One Million Moms” must have landed on Bankrupt one too many times.”
- A second commenter added, “They just sound like the most miserable wet blankets with their “campaigns” against “insinuated profanity.”
- Another person said, “They need to get lost.”
