Dancing With The Stars Star Denies Ryan Seacrest’s Shocking Claim
Ryan Seacrest’s success as host of American Idol led to many, many other opportunities, including taking over ABC’s New Year’s Eve celebration. He was named the new host of Wheel of Fortune in 2023. He made his TV debut in 2024 after Pat Sajak’s final episode.
Ryan Seacrest also took over as host of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Dancing With The Stars judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli, and pro dancer Jenna Johnson were among the contestants for Season 6 of the game show.
The Wheel of Fortune host claimed that he had to scold Derek Hough not to jump on the famed wheel amid concerns it would break. But according to Derek Hough, that never happened. He denied the rumors on social media and said he would “never” disrespect the popular game show like that.
Wheel Of Fortune Viewers No Longer Recognize Ryan Seacrest
Ryan Seacrest’s calendar is about to get even busier. A new season of American Idol premieres in 2026. He’ll do double duty, hosting both shows. He’s hosted American Idol since it debuted on Fox in 2002. The popular host stayed on when it jumped to ABC in 2018.
The Wheel of Fortune host turned 50 last December. In an interview with his sister on Entertainment Tonight, he opened up about his thoughts on aging ahead of the milestone birthday. He said that he would do anything to reverse the signs of aging. At the time, he said he was “over-exercising, eating better, over-training” to stop the natural aging process.
But did he go too far? Fans believe his shockingly gaunt appearance is from more than just a change in diet. One fan asked on social media, “What is up with Ryan’s face?”
They added, “His cheeks look unnaturally pronounced to me lately. Is he losing too much weight? Bad cheek implants? May be just the camera angles?”
Other Wheel of Fortune fans also noticed Ryan Seacrest’s different look. They shared their own speculation as to why he looks unrecognizable.
