Why Did Kelly Ripa Kick Husband, Mark Consuelos In The Crotch?
Kelly Ripa recently kicked her husband Mark Consuelos in the crotch and he was reasonably upset by this. Why would Ripa do this and should fans be concerned about Mark’s safety?
Kelly Ripa’s Career And Family Life With Mark Consuelos
Kelly Ripa is a talk show host who has had her show for years. With a revolving door of co-hosts, the actress is currently partnered with her husband, Mark Consuelos for Live With Kelly and Mark. Previously holding the title of co-host to the eccentric Ripa are Ryan Seacrest, Michael Strahan, and Regis Philbin.
The couple has been together since 1996 and have three children, Lola, Joaquin, and Michael who Ripa has a strained relationship with of sorts. As Ripa is no stranger to talking about her problems on TV, fans know a lot about her relationship with her husband and her children.
In addition to wishing she had a relationship with her children similar to that of another celebrity, Ripa makes sure everything is known about her relationship with the birds who have left her nest. It has been a well-known topic that her children periodically block her on Instagram which has certainly turned many heads.
A Viral Challenge Causes Issues In Mark And Kelly’s Relationship
Ripa makes sure to keep her show fun and interesting so she keeps viewership high. Part of ensuring this is doing crazy stunts that are a trend to stay popular. Furthermore, Ripa recently did a viral challenges segment for her show. This was most likely done to appeal to the younger audiences who spend hours scrolling on TikTok. She wants them to spend hours watching her show.
The trend that she forced Mark into doing was the Titanic challenge. One person would flip over and then stand on the other person’s thighs to reference the famous “king of the world” scene from the beloved movie. Then, the person being stood on has to support and keep up the other person from their feet and hands.
This did not go so well for the talk show duo. During her episode on October 8th, Kelly Ripa explained, “We came in early today to try this. “It didn’t go well. Might I say that one of us got very irritated with the other one of us? Not going to name names, but somebody got irritated with me.” Perhaps their jobs are making them spend too much time together.
Kelly Ripa’s Segment Goes Wrong
Moreover, Mark counteracted this claim saying he wasn’t irritated and expressed, “You’ve just got to put the feet on the thighs—not in the middle part.” It seems there was a mess up from both parties or perhaps Mark did not do a good job of keeping his wife stable to complete the popular TikTok challenge.
In addition, Ripa was able to do the challenge perfectly with their coach, Marc Santa Maria. Furthermore, she expressed that Marc, “lifted me every time.” Moreover, the TV personality went on to say, “I don’t know where your thighs go. Your thighs don’t seem reachable. I’m like, ‘Where?’ I can kick up and see Marc’s thighs. You do it in a way that like—you somehow remove your thighs, and I kick up into your crotch.”
This interaction is yet another example of the couple talking things out as if they weren’t in front of the camera. The whole conversation kept the audience laughing, prompting the talk show host to ask her husband to try it on air. Fans waited to see if she would kick her husband in the crotch again.
Thankfully, the duo was able to complete the challenge, saving Mark’s crotch from any more injury and a clip that would last a lifetime. Ripa and Consuelos were thrilled as well as the audience. Hopefully, Ripa’s next idea won’t be so dangerous for her husband.
