‘Yellowstone’ Luke Grimes Praises ‘Profound’ Series Ending
The final episodes of Yellowstone are coming soon. While there have been rumors that a new season might end up ordered, this current storyline should be ending with these next six episodes. With that in mind, star Luke Grimes has some big words about the final six episodes, which he says are “profound.”
Here is what Grimes had to say about the ending of Yellowstone.
Luke Grimes Talks Yellowstone “Perfect Ending”
Luke Grimes, 40, plays Kayce Dutton, a member of the series-leading Dutton family. While his TV dad, John (Kevin Costner), will not be back for the final six episodes, that doesn’t seem to affect how the show’s quality will end up. According to Grimes, Yellowstone has a “perfect” and “profound” ending.
“I couldn’t be happier. I think it’s a perfect ending for the show for every character,” Luke said about the final six episodes (via PEOPLE). “It’s just a testament to what a good writer Taylor is, and it’s a very, very profound, beautiful ending. I can’t wait to sit down and watch it one day.”
It has been two years since the first half of the final season dropped onto Paramount+. The WGA strike caused several delays, and by the time Taylor Sheridan was ready to start shooting, star Kevin Costner had finally moved on. While there are rumors John Dutton will die as a result, it seems the rest of the cast will get their good farewell moments.
“I’ve been itching to get back to the show, and I’m so glad it finally worked out, and we got to finish strong,” Grimes said about the delays.
When Will Yellowstone Final Season Return?
Yellowstone will be back on Paramount+ for its final episodes starting on November 10, 2024. Most of the cast will return. However, Kevin Costner won’t be back for the end, so the show will find a way to write out John Dutton. According to reports, the premiere will be “highly emotional,” so expect John possibly to die.
The teaser for the show’s return includes Kevin Costner in voice-over, but the words spoken are from past episodes. “Legacy. We build something worth having. Somone’s going to try and take it,” the character said. Despite that, having John Dutton talking in the teaser will keep fans guessing what could happen to the popular character.
