Kelly Ripa Says Mark Consuelos Obsession Has Helped Marriage
According to Kelly Ripa, husband Mark Consuelos has a new obsession. She spoke about this on a recent episode of Live with Kelly & Mark and said that the new obsession has actually helped improve their marriage. However, this might come as a surprise when they said what the new obsession was.

Mark Consuelos Has A New Obsession
According to Kelly Ripa on a recent episode of Live with Kelly & Mark, the morning talk show host said that Mark Consuelos has a new obsession. She likes this new obsession, though. According to Kelly, it has had a “positive impact” on their marriage. This is always important as the couple is always looking for ways to improve their relationship.
According to Kelly. Mark’s new obsession is golf. Mark then thanked Kelly for allowing him to watch “16 hours” of the 2025 Masters Tournament over the last weekend. “I’m officially hooked on golf. I watched the Masters,” Mark said. “Kelly, thank you for letting me, not letting me, but not having a problem with me watching 16 hours of golf over four days.”
Mark then began to show his obsession as he talked about Rory McIlroy winning the Masters. This made Kelly laugh as she poked fun at Mark.
“I feel in this moment probably about how you feel when I talk about anything else,” Kelly said to Mark. “Cause I heard ‘caddy’ and ‘icing him out’ and everything else, I have no idea what was just said. It was sort of like a haze. I went into a little haze.”
Kelly Ripa On Why This Has Positive Impact On Their Marriage
Kelly Ripa thought it was amusing that he was thanking her for this, explaining that she has her “own life going on.” She emphasized she had things to do and didn’t have time to be frustrated with Mark watching the television for 16 hours (via Hello! Magazine).
“You don’t know everything that goes on while you’re watching golf,” Kelly said. Mark then said he was paying attention and noticed more parcels showing up at their home, hinting that Kelly used this alone time to shop online. It seems that Mark being distracted by golf allows Kelly to enjoy one of her favorite pastimes.
This is when Kelly Ripa told guest Cameron Mathison that Mark’s golf obsession as been good for their marriage. Cameron, who was an All My Children star alongside Kelly and Mark, said that golf was the only sport that “actually improved the marriage.”
