Although Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman got together on somewhat unconventional terms, they have been in a committed relationship for many years. Recently, a source close to Simon revealed he may have secretly married Lauren in private.

Initially, when Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman met, she was in a marriage with real estate mogul, Andrew Silverman. Likewise, Simon and Andrew were good friends. Notably, their beginning story has some scandal, Simon and Lauren continued a charade while seeing each other in private. Simon was dating other ladies while Lauren was still with Andrew. However, when Lauren revealed she was pregnant with their son, Eric, in 2013, the private matters became public. Although it was a tricky situation, Simon is very thankful for his son and fiance. But an inside source gives a clue that the couple may be up to more secrecy with an undercover marriage.

Recently, Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriend, Sinitta claimed that Simon and Lauren Silverman have already taken the step of marriage. Before Lauren, Sinitta, and Simon were in an on-again-off-again relationship for nearly three decades. Furthermore, they remain close friends. Both are godparents to each other’s children and continue to vacation together.

In an interview with The Sun, she says, “Oh, are they not married yet?” when discussing Simon and Lauren‘s wedding plans. Additionally, she hints, “I’m not saying anything, but I’m sure they are married. I call her Mrs. Cowell anyway.” Then, she adds, “So they may as well be.” Although she didn’t specifically spill the tea, she alludes to the idea the vow exchange is already complete.

Their History Made His Life Better

Both Simon Cowell and Sinitta were linked for nearly thirty years starting their relationship in 1982. Although Simon has dated other people along his journey, he and Sinitta have stayed close through the years. Even with Simon and Lauren Silverman’s rocky start, Simon proposed to her after 13 years together. Undeniably, he is overwhelmingly thankful for both Lauren and his son, Eric, no matter the history.

When Lauren and Andrew Silverman filed their divorce paperwork, it listed “adultery” as the reason. However, later a change to the documents said, “broken down irretrievably.” Admittedly, Simon states in a reflective interview, “[The affair] is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone.” Then, he adds, “It just happened. … But then, of course, you have a baby, and you look at the baby and you kinda go, ‘This is what happened from it.’” Without a doubt, Simon wouldn’t trade Lauren or his son for the world.

In June, Simon Cowell said on the Diary of a CEO podcast, “When I got the call from Lauren, which starts, any call that starts with, ‘Are you sitting down?’ You know what’s coming next.” Further explaining, “… And she told me. And yes it did absolutely change, it changed everything in my life.” Learning he was going to have a son, he says, “It made me happy again.” He has said his son saved his life.
