Real Reason Michael Strahan Is Missing From ‘GMA’
Michael Strahan has been missing from Good Morning America for an extended period of time. Robin Roberts also missed time but revealed before leaving that she was vacationing abroad with her wife. Strahan, however, has not said anything about why he has been missing from the show.
Now, the reason has been revealed. Here is what you need to know about Strahan’s missed time on Good Morning America and where he has been.
Why Has Michael Strahan Not Been On Good Morning America?
Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts both started missing Good Morning America episodes at the same time. Their replacements did fine while they were gone, but many fans wondered what was happening. For Roberts, it was easy. She was on vacation and even offered up footage from her trip to keep her in viewers’ memories. However, Strahan just disappeared without a word.
The GMA hosts didn’t even clue fans in on where Strahan was and why he was missing so many shows. However, while Strahan and GMA didn’t say anything, one of the former NFL star’s daughters revealed where he is and what is happening. Michael Strahan and his daughters are in the Bahamas.
Sophia Strahan posted the photos on her Instagram that revealed she was on vacation with her family. The caption, “Bahamas babies,” referred to her dogs. Her sister Isabella added some photos on her account, captioning them, “Happy here.”
The timing of the vacation also makes sense. Michael Strahan is surely wanting some quality time with his daughters after a very tough year.
Isabella Strahan Is Cancer-Free
Michael Strahan has been struggling all year as his daughter, Isabella, underwent chemotherapy for her brain cancer diagnosis. However, in June, Isabella announced she had her last chemo treatment. She rang the bell and was able to leave the hospital, announcing the treatments had ended.

There was a scary moment when Isabella had to return to the hospital due to some heart problems, but that worked itself out. This means Isabella is on track to return to college at USC this fall. She was going to college in her freshman year when she learned she had brain cancer and started treatments.
Michael Strahan had talked about his eventual retirement from television. He said he isn’t retiring yet but won’t outstay his welcome. More so, he wants to travel with his family and spend more time with them rather than work into old age. By taking this valuable time off before Isabella returns to college, he gets to spend some fun time with his daughters after a very demanding year.
