Mama June Insinuates Kylee Isn’t Kaitlyn’s Closest Blood Relative?
Did Mama June Shannon just insinuate that Kaitlyn’s sister, Kylee, is not her closest blood relative? On July 16th, June will go to court against Anna Cardwell’s ex-husband and Kylee’s father, Michael Cardwell. He wants custody of Kaitlyn and to keep the sisters together. Yet, June may have dug herself in a hole and the fans are bringing out all of the important evidence. Keep reading for more details.
Mama June Insinuates Kylee Isn’t Kaitlyn’s Closest Blood Relative?
When Anna Cardwell was getting progressively sicker, she had to make one big decision. Who would get custody of her eldest daughter, Kaitlyn? Her youngest daughter, Kylee would go to her father, Michael Cardwell but Kaitlyn’s father had never been in the picture. Mama June felt she should get custody along with her husband, Justin Stroud, and even drew up papers. Yet, Anna wanted her husband, who she had been with for six years before marrying, Eldridge Toney, to get custody. That did not suit June and she never holds back her feelings.
Ultimately, June and Justin got Kaitlyn as the paperwork had never been finalized but Michael Cardwell filed for custody. It seemed he and all of the fans wanted Kaitlyn and Kylee to stay together. However, June made a statement that had fans reeling and it sparked a Reddit thread:
- What does June mean when she says “Anna wanted Kaitlyn to be with her biological family.” Is this insinuating that Kylee isn’t her biological sister? That is literally the closest genetic tie she has to Anna. Also, why didn’t Anna’s dad, David, want Kaitlyn. He and June have equal claim to her from that relationship.
So, who is Kylee to Kaitlyn then? Is she not her closest blood relative and wouldn’t Anna want the two of them to be together? Fans quickly chimed in with their thoughts:
- It’s just her excuse.
- I pray to God, that June doesn’t get to keep Kaitlyn. She only wants her for the money from the show so she can steal another child’s money yet again
- Michael has no blood relationship to Kaitlyn
What Did Anna Want?
It does not appear that Mama June outwardly wants to keep Kaitlyn and Kylee from each other. However, since Michael Cardwell is not a blood relative of Kaitlyn’s, that is where it gets murky. As for Anna Cardwell’s father, he was barely a teenager when she was born and has had his own struggles. Therefore, it is doubtful he would want or even get custody. Finally, as for what Anna actually wanted, it was said to come out on the show which it did. She wished for Eldridge Toney to have Kaitlyn. He seems to get along with everyone and be a good middleman. That did not sit well with June and what viewers recall was this:
- June has said numerous times Anna wanted Kaitlyn with her and this would come out on the show . Did Anna say she wanted Kaitlyn with June ? I don’t remember her saying that .
Others agreed and recalled Anna wanting Eldridge to be the one to fight. Now it is Michael versus June and the sisters are still torn apart. Yet, Kylee is her sister and they should be going through all of this together.
