‘RHOBH’ Teddi Mellencamp Receives More Devastating Cancer News
Former RHOBH star, Teddi Mellencamp, has just received additional devastating cancer news. She has already undergone emergency brain surgery to remove tumors. Then, she learned that her cancer had spread due to her past with melanoma. So, what is her status now? Keep reading for more details.
Teddi Mellencamp Receives More Devastating Cancer News
When RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp spent weeks with severe headaches, she finally went to the hospital. There, brain tumors were discovered, and she prepared for emergency surgery. She had a long road ahead of her, and then, more tumors were discovered in her lungs. The mother of three had already battled melanoma and undergone several surgeries to successfully remove them. However, her past with cancer led to her current status, but she was more than ready to fight. As scary as it was, she has an incredible support system to push her to the finish line.
Unfortunately, Teddi has new details regarding her cancer, and it is terribly scary. She has learned that she has four additional brain tumors, saying:
“I’m fighting for my life. But also for my family’s life and all the people I love.”
Teddi shares three children, Slate, Cruz, and Dove, with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave. On the show, she always told her kids that moms come back but now, it is a hard thing to say. Admittedly, she has held back on saying anything that reassuring to her kids because she has no idea what the future holds. As part of her brain surgery, Teddi had to shave her head. Although it looks really adorable, she is done with it, but her so made her feel a tad better:
“Ugh, I’m so over it already. But Cruz made it a little better because he said, ‘Mom, we can get all the same haircuts.’”

Currently, the former RHOBH star is undergoing radiation and immunotherapy to beat this. Fortunately, Teddi Mellencamp shared that she has been getting headaches after the treatments. This is supposedly a good sign that the cancer is being killed.
Kyle’s Big Move
When Teddi Mellencamp needed to get into Cedars-Sinai, she called her former RHOBH co-star and close friend, Kyle Richards. She was able to get her into the hospital and the first surgery began. As for what is next for her on her healing path, Teddi explained that they will revisit it on June 1st. However, things have been changing now that the additional tumors were found. She did emphasize the importance of getting life insurance and writing a will, sooner rather than later. When it comes to her estranged husband, she gave a very positive update. Teddi and Edwin Arroyave are living in the same home just in separate bedrooms.

For a time, Teddi Mellencamp was living at Kyle’s, but now, things are far better. She even noted how her family was out in California as soon as she exited surgery. Edwin spoke to Teddi’s dad, rocker John Mellencamp, and, as much as he hates LA, he was right by her side. She did share which of her co-stars, aside from Kyle, were there for her:
“Garcelle [Beauvais] has not reached out. Dorit [Kemsley] has now. I’m good friends with Erika [Jayne], so she said, “Dorit does want to reach out to you now, can she? I [said], “don’t know how quick I’ll be to forgive, but sure.” But then her message was so nice that I have to say we’ll probably be fine.”
Even Vicki Gunvalson sent Teddi a gift and now, it is onward and upward. Teddi Mellencamp is looking toward the future and hopefully, it is nothing but health, love, and light.
