Deon Derrico Updates On Nephew Amani’s Emergency Surgery
Recently, Doubling Down With The Derricos dad, Deon Derrico, asked fans for prayers for his nephew, Amani. Now he is sharing an update about the scary emergency surgery Amani faced.
Deon Derrico Requested Urgent Prayers
Undoubtedly, it has been a journey over the past few years for the Doubling Down With The Derricos family. Likewise, nearly one year ago, fans learned that Deon Derrico’s departed brother, Chris, had a son, Amani. Although Amani was facing health concerns during the last season, he was able to continue with his daily life. However, Deon sent out a call for prayers just a few weeks ago letting fans know that Amani was rushed in for an emergency liver transplant. Sadly, not long after receiving the transplant, Amani’s body rejected the new liver and Deon quickly requested fans pray as he was back on the transplant list. But now he is sharing an update on how he is doing.
Deon Derrico Updates On Amani Since Emergency Surgery
On Deon Derrico’s Instagram page, he shares an update about Amani. First, he shows his gratefulness, “Thank you to everyone that have prayed for my nephew Amani!” Furthermore, he recognizes how difficult the past few weeks have been for Amani, “As you can see he has been through it.” Then, he adds a photo of Amani in his hospital room.
Furthermore, he discusses what has occurred, “Having two liver transplants within two weeks, and being placed in an induced coma up until a couple of days ago!” Additionally, Deon pleads that fans continue praying, “PLEASE KEEP THE PRAYERS, coming lord knows how bad we need them / He needs your prayers!! We are all lost without GOD!!! We are truly grateful that my nephew Amani, is doing much better and he’ll hopefully be released from the hospital within the next two weeks.”
