‘Family Feud’ Steve Harvey Stunned Silent By Contestant’s Answer
Steve Harvey is no stranger to being surprised by contestant’s answers on Family Feud. The host has frequently been stunned silent by what people on the show have to say and, more often than not, he is speechless when the crazy answers are actually on the board. Steve Harvey Is Shocked When An Answer Appears On The Board
Normally, when Steve Harvey hears an answer he is shocked by, it doesn’t appear on the board. However, that isn’t always the case. During Friday’s episode of Family Feud, the contestants were asked to name something bars should give drunk customers for free.
A contestant named Cedric was quick to answer, replying, “More alcohol.” Placing his flashcards down for a minute, Steve Harvey looked stunned. He simply stared at Cedric for a couple of seconds before he went to see if the answer was on the board.
“Give ’em some more alcohol!” he said as he finally turned to the board. Rather than a big red “X” appearing, one of the answer slots turned over, revealing that Cedric was right.
“More Alcohol” was the third answer on the Family Feud board. The number one answer was “Food & Water” and the second most popular answer was “Ride Home.”
There was only one answer left on the board, but The Forbes family (Cedric’s team) was not able to guess what it was. So, the opposing team took the board, but they guessed wrong too. That meant that the game went into the sudden death round.
Family Feud Is Doing Well With Steve Harvey As Host
Of course, Family Feud viewers know this is far from the first time Steve Harvey has been surprised by a contestant’s answer. He often jokes with people about their wild responses to the survey questions.
Another recent episode had Steve speechless after a woman’s answer to the question, “Name something you wish lasted longer than it does.” Without much hesitation, Stephanie answered, “Sex, Steve.”
Dumfounded, Steve mumbled, “You’ll have to take that up with your guy.” Laughing, they waited to see if her answer was on the board, which it was.
As a host, Steve Harvey has been known to push boundaries. He is often seen giving contestants a hard time after they give playful (or awful) answers. That said, it seems to be doing well for Family Feud ratings.
The game show first aired in 1976. Previous hosts of the game show include Louie Anderson, Richard Dawson, and Ray Combs.
With its current host Steve, it brings in nearly 8 million viewers with each episode. It has also won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show three times with Steve as the host. Family Feud brought home an Emmy in 2014, 2017, and 2022.
