‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Ready For Mayim Bialik Return As Host?
Mayim Bialik has been off Jeopardy! for over a year now. She took a temporary leave of absence in May 2023 to support the writers during the strike. She never returned. In December 2023, Jeopardy! announced she wouldn’t be back, and Ken Jennings was the full-time host. However, some fans think that Mayim might be on her way back.

Is Mayim Bialik Returning To Jeopardy!?
There are Jeopardy! fans who believe that Mayim Bialik is on her way back to hosting duties on the show. From 2021 to 2023, Bialik and Ken Jennings swapped hosting duties, each serving different stretches on the show. In December 2023, he took over the job for himself.
However, there are fans who still want to see Mayim back on the show as a host. At the same time, there are fans who don’t think there is any reason for Mayim to return to the show. This all came to a head in a Reddit thread. The thread had the title “Hopefully Soon,” and they wrote, “Hopefully, when the next season (Season 3) of Primetime Celebrity Jeopardy! comes, Mayim Bialik will be back to host.”
This led to a back-and-forth on comments:
- “I’d bet good money that we’ll never see her hosting again.”
- “I hope we only get Ken as host for everything (not counting the spin-offs) until he can’t host anymore, same way that Alex hosted everything.”
- “It is highly unlikely that Mayim would be willing to return if invited. All indications are that she was not happy about the circumstances leading to her departure.”
- “Celeb let her loosen up again and she was a much better host there, so if she were still around i’d say keep giving her the primetime shows (other than Masters) and maybe she’ll get more comfortable with it over time.”
Mayim Bialik Left On Bad Terms
Mayim Bialik left Jeopardy! to begin with because she supported the writers during the strike. There were moments when the game show planned to use questions written by striking writers during the strike, and Mayim wouldn’t support that.
It seems that left a bad taste for Jeopardy! because she never returned. Mayim even said she learned the show chose not to renew her contract at the same time as everyone else. She also didn’t seem very happy about it. She said all the right things and left things relatively amicable.
However, when the news broke that Pop Culture Jeopardy! is coming to Prime Video, Mayim’s name was among the first to emerge as a possible new host. That said, former ESPN host Katie Nolan might have earned the job.

I want Ken Jennings to be the host of Jeopardy permanently. To me he is the best host for the show.

Please, no! Ken does a great job. There was never a day she hosted that was half as good as Ken.
No to Bialik, hand down! She’s got “too much going on” 🙄 to give her 100% to the show. (I thought Richards was the best though only on for 2 episodes, I believe, due to some bad behavior (?) he had to leave. He’s human, give the guy a break. Everyone makes mistakes, he was just caught. what a personality he has!
I wish they’d never hired Ken Jennings……he looks and acts like a big wig “know it all”. There is absolutely nothing REAL about him. Would much rather have Mayim Bailik back. At least she’s real! She stands up for what she believes in, no matter what! And besides she looks friendly,……….which is far more than we can say for Ken Jennings!

Ken is like a cardboard cut out. He is as fake as fake can be. my family hasn’t watched jeopardy since she left. I hope blow hard Ken is replaced by her soon!
Jennings is not a very good people person. He has a fake smile abd the personality of slug. He has no hosting or acting qualifications. I don’t know how a incompetent, word salad spewing, and ass kissing clown could have even been considered ? Ken is like finger nails on a chalk board. He has no relatable stories to offer the audience. His eyes look like 2 piss holes in a snow bank and think his mom still dresses him. Get rud of him.

Who is behind this regular mooting of Bialik as host? I thought we were done. Jennings is outstanding. People very largely could not bear Bialik . This was overwhelmingly evident in comment section after comment section.

Yes, Mayim was the clear choice to follow Alex. We were disappointed with the show’s producers and watch only part of the shows with Jennings. With Mayim, we watched every show in its entirety

Bring Mayom back! She should be the regular host if she wants the job. Her voice and delivery and personality are more interesting than Ken’s.
Why would that happen? Mayim does not have the charm or personality. Ken Jennings is and will always be the chosen to be Jeopardy’s greatest after Alex!

Ken Jennings is doing the best job and personifies a similar host as Alex Trebek . Myam Bialick I fell did not provide the ability to work with the contestants and show.

Mayim Bialik was awful as host of Jeopardy. Ken Jennings does a fantastic job. He has a great personality, and just as Alex did, he makes the contestants the “stars” of the show. We hope he stays for decades.

I do NOT ever want to see Bialik on Jeopardy again – just Ken Jennings! When I see a rerun with her, I turn off the TV or watch something else.

it helps a lot if you put “closed captions” on. that would be a lot better solution than bringing Bialik back.

First of all, why would they , Ken Jennings host a show that he said such bad things about the show an̈d Alex Trebec? after he won all that money, he had nothings. bet you won’t publish the truth,! but bad comments about both. he’s arrogant, stiff and makes alot of mistakes which they excuse or cover up. Mayim is 100% better than he is. Jennings is a bad mouth.
Please say this is a joke. She may be a fine actress, but as a host she socks. Let’s hope it is nothing more than a rumor. Ken is the definitive host.
Oh lord, I hope not. Ken is Jeopardy and Alex thought so too. He stepped into that job like he’s been doing it all his life. Mayim is an idiot especially when doing the Celebrity Jeopardy. She was practically on the floor laughing. Have you ever seen Ken do that. I think not.
