It seems that Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch fans are almost as intent on proving the show is fake as they are on enjoying it. This has started happening more often each week, as many point out moments where they feel the show has proven it is fake and nothing is real. This week, it all involved a mobile phone.

Here is what happened to have one fan claim the show is once again fake.

Blind Frog Ranch Fans Calling Out “Fake” Scenes

A recent episode of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch had a scene that had some fans thinking that it was faked. This is nothing new, as fans every week find something else they claim is proof that things are not on the up and up for the treasure hunters at the ranch.

This scene, however, had to do with a mobile phone, and many fans said that the person who pointed it out was wrong in their arguments about why this had to be fake. The person posted a thread on Reddit where they said that an upside-down phone proved that the scene wasn’t happening the way the show claimed it was.

I have that phone,” they wrote. “You can’t use it upside down like that and I’ve researched over phone newer then mine. They also arnt able to be used upside down. Thanks man, you ruined the show for me.”

However, many people responded, claiming the OP was wrong:

  • “I’ve got the 20 ultra 5g. But doesn’t for everything. Just pointing out that so long as the app being used does flip upside down, it’s definitely possible.”
  • “It could be a reenactment of an earlier real discovery. Maybe someone coughed and they reshot it. It’s tv. More entertaining than reality.”
  • “I’m not denying it’s fake but on my phone when you use SOME apps you can definitely rotate it upside down and the screen flips so you can use a phone upside down lol.”

Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch Thinks Show Is A ‘Satire”

There are many fans of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch who love the show, but they still think it is all fake. The most ardent fans are not complaining that it is fake because they think it is a satire and the show is making fun of other treasure-hunting shows.

Many fans feel that Blind Frog Ranch‘s paranormal aspects indicate that the show never takes itself seriously. They feel that the show’s entire purpose is to spoof things like The Curse of Oak Island, which takes itself overly seriously at times. Blind Frog Ranch also shares similarities with Skin Walker Ranch, another show fans mostly dismiss as fake.

Also, The fact that the credits refer to the treasure hunters as “talent” has many fans convinced the Discovery Channel knows this is fake and is just playing along.

What are your thoughts on Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch? Do you think it is real, or are they faking everything? Does it matter when it comes to how much you enjoy it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. I don’t care one way or the other, it’s interesting and entertaining, and I do think their are a lot of facts brought out. If you don’t like the show, don’t watch, otherwise, watch and enjoy, that’s what I will be doing.

    1. I have just been looking for calamity lake and it doesn’t seem to exist not in name or place. The graphics that show the location are totally wrong. 100% fake for sure.

  2. Who cares if it’s real or fake? What matters is that people enjoy watching it. I’m just waiting for episode 1 of “The Real Housewives of Blind Frog Ranch” so my life can be complete.

    1. Hey, if that ever happens then we will all know it’s 100% fake and then I’ll never watch it again. Funny tho, The Real Housewives of Frog Ranch. All pretty girls are with figures to die for, red and white wine flowing and designer clothes. No average lookers, no ladies over a certain size blah blah blah. Oh that day may come yaj never know huh. LOL

  3. Great last comment- it’s all entertainment..I watch shows like this all the time. I also love watching sports, from #1pl soccer to golf…entertainment. Movies from sci-fi to historical events…..again entertainment.

    1. they found the box under water.Fair enough. I know the wooden logs probably wouldn’t rot away But the rope wouldn’t take long to rot surely .. The show was interesting at first few episodes just like skin Walker ranch and oak Island. But boring now… l wouldn’t be watching any more..A lot of stuff don’t make sense And if it don’t make sense it isn’t true.. 1 part got me.. Most Americans carry guns .And specially ranchers. The guys go running off in the middle of the night just with a tiny flash light and a camera . Then spot something big lurking in woods right next to the tents where they are sleeping ..And what do ya man do bang his big knife on something metal…Come on now a double barrel shot gun or a semi automatic or a rifle

  4. This show is a total fake. This guy bought a 160 acre ranch and didn’t even know it had a big open pit mine on it, which by the way is surrounded by quaking aspen and pine not found at the low altitude of his ranch!? And they had to find this with Lidar? How do you go into a “bead site” with heavy equipment and just dig up whatever you want. I live in Utah and I have seen the feds shut down construction sites in this state if they dig up so much as one arrowhead. Recently a company digging footings for a windmill found 15 thousand year old bones from a camel buried 20 feet deep in alluvium next to my town and shut the whole operation down for 6 months. My advise is that Chad Ollinger cut those nasty dreadlocks and takes a goddamn bath and that the History channel stops bullshitting the public.

    1. Oh Leonard, you made me laugh! I was thinking the same thing! Cut those nasty things off and bath once, please! I stopped watching Oak Island for same reason, got sucked into first season, then realized getting played as the plot line became ridiculous and more complex, only to never find the gold. Same thing here…hokey and dumber, really. As the owner sits in his supposed expensive machinery and sits at the helm for digs, the peons do all the digging and bad acting. Wash, rinse, repeat. Yawwwwwwwn.

    2. I have been watching the show for a while along with the Oak Island show. I enjoy watching both, but these people have spent millions of dollars and have only trinkets to show for it. I watch now and just laugh at people that have more money than sense. Keep digging idiots!

    3. I agree with you Leonard. My first suspicion was the two man expert security team that basically solved nothing. Then, removal of a 900 lb. cow would definitely leave some kind of tracks unless it were a UFO removal. Nine hundred lbs of meat and flesh decaying would leave a very big mess…who could stand the stench?! So after that I just watch for the entertainment and lessons about rocks. Enjoyed the show.

  5. this is turning into the same type show as mystery of oak island. they find one thing and fly all over the world talking about it for one hour. the 1st season show real explorers. now it’s more talk than action. I guess it’s more like the old soap operas where a person could miss 9 episodes and watch the 10 and catch up on the past 9 episodes because they are still talk I ng about the same thing. was interesting at the start, now it’s becoming boring.

  6. how do you find out where the the other entrances are, just make a small fire in a bucket but in some green sage soke will exit other exits.so that shows it fake or just stupid thinking

  7. Hey, didnt they do that green dye thing in an episode of an Oak Island to find where the dye came out.
Oh dear, they just haven’t thought of that or maybe thought they best not use that idea yet. Gotta find out how to do it in confined spaces etc.
Any thoughts, oh yeah, the entrance.
    Ahhhh, genuis huh. LOL
But remember it may take off a few episodes and they have to keep us watching.

  8. Definitely fake. I only really noticed it when they camped out and acted like they hiked all day. The ranch is 160 acres whicg is a quarter mile. The owners have walked every inch of that property. I only started watching.tonight for 3 episodes

    1. Hey dumbass… an acre is 209′ x 209′ and you can’t translate acreage into any kind of distance, like you just did, confirming your ignorance. 160 acres stacked end-to-end is 209’x160=33,440′ which is 6+ miles BUT the ranch is not shaped like that. It is L shaped.

  9. Just like Oak island. So many idiots keeping a show going talking stupid.
Drilled a hole into shafts that would end the show if u were to have smoked it to find entrance and easily ventilated per our modern technology. But No…. Gotta go keep it going for 10 years or more for ratings. Gave up on oak island after 4 seasons
Tired of watching idiots on tv. Americans are much smarter than these shows.

  10. It’s like watching a toddler walk towards the goal, then back up 100 feet or more, then take two steps forward again. They keep re-hashing what we’ve already ‘discovered’ and by Ep. 2 or 3, they they are; taking the first part of the episode walking backwards over what we already saw/know. Scenes and information dissemination that should take LESS THAN a few minutes, go on for ever. Hey producers: Stay on the main entrance, dig that out, refer to the LIDAR and start a counter drill through the bedrock and hard pan at the other end – or even in the middle! Yeegods!!!

  11. They catch a guy who was supposedly digging a hole across from the shack except when they got there the hole was obviously a drilled hole. Perfectly round and you could see the where the drill bit cut the hole. Such BS.

    1. Yet another IGNORANT commenter. The guy who MANUFACTURES that kind of scientific instrument confirmed ONLY the FEDS have access to that kind of nuclear-powered remote instrumentation, used to monitor minute earth movements.

  12. I watched this show every week and have enjoyed it, and like everybody else was wishing them the best at finding the treasure. But after watching this week’s show in the UK and when the drilling rig hole caught fire and they took some material out to see what could have started the fire, the geologist crushed it down and said it was coal dust then proceded to light it to show the others others. I thought to myself that material looked a lot darker than the crushed material. I thought it looked like gunpowder and when he lit it it burned like gunpowder. Small coal doesn’t react that way, the geologist show know better

    1. Exactly, I have been watching this show since the beginning and that was the first obviously fake thing I remember seeing. However, it doesn’t surprise me at all, especially since Eric was in charge of that test. That was obviously gunpowder he lit. I watched him when he and Chad (black hat guy) went to Greenland and he seemed pretty ignorant then too.

  13. In the show this week, Aug 6, I noticed some odd things. When the white bearded dude with the rifle pulled it out he chambered a round when they heard some branches snap. They followed him and a few seconds later he chambered another round before he fired. Then he said he saw a really big black wolf. You would never hear branches snap from a wolf moving through the woods. They move very quietly. Staged????

  14. I have just been looking for calamity lake and it doesn’t seem to exist not in name or place. The graphics that show the location are totally wrong. 100% fake for sure. The ranch is also small that most of it takes place elsewhere. Surely they need permission to drill holes and even just scamper over other ranches etc yet constantly try and pass each episode off as BFR. 🤔
