‘Suits’ Final Season Is Finally Coming To Netflix
For the last year, Suits has been one of the most-watched shows on Netflix. The viewing numbers were so big that a spinoff with a new cast and storyline was ordered. However, there was one problem with watching it on Netflix: the last season was missing. That is all changing.
Here is what you need to know about the Suits’ final season coming to the streaming giant.
When Will Suits Final Season Be On Netflix?
Suits’ final season is finally coming to Netflix. The news broke on Sunday at the ATX TV Festival. Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Amanda Schull, Abigail Spencer took part in a reunion panel at the event. That is when the final season news was revealed.
Netflix often has limited seasons. One example is the show NCIS. While the entire series airs on Paramount+, Netflix will only have certain seasons and none with Cote de Pablo in it. This is because Paramount+ is CBS’s streaming service, and there is an NCIS spinoff coming. It wants people subscribing to its service.
Similarly, Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, also wants more subscribers. While Suits is on Netflix, anyone who wants to see the final season needs to subscribe to Peacock to get that. That is about to change. Season 9, which saw Mike return for the finale, finally comes to Netflix in North America on July 1.
Anyone who missed the show in its first run can finally finish the story on Netflix once it drops.
What Is Going On WIth Suits: LA?
Suits: LA is a spinoff of the original series. There were no plans for this, but with the original series breaking all kinds of records on Netflix, NBC fast-tracked the show. However, despite that, it won’t be ready for the Fall 2024 season.
The network hasn’t even watched the pilot episode, which was already shot. The new series will feature no returning stars and relocate the action to Los Angeles. Stephen Amell (Arrow) stars as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York.
He owns a firm in Los Angeles and represents powerful clients specializing in criminal and entertainment law. Much like the original series, this will follow the people who work for the firm, which includes The Walking Dead’s Josh McDermitt (Eugene) as Ted’s partner who started the firm with him. Lex Scott Davis (The L Word) and Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill) also star.
According to reports, the studio plans to watch the pilot in July and decide whether to proceed or drop the project. If they proceed, it will arrive sometime in 2025.
