Meteorologist Loses It Over Erin Andrews’ Weather Alerts
Erin Andrews was working the sidelines during Fox Sports coverage of the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers NFL game on Sunday. There were a lot of weather concerns and Andrews wanted to let fans know what they could expect from the game’s conditions that night.
However, at least one professional meteorologist got “irrationally” angry at Andrews talking about the weather. Here is what you need to know.
Meteorologist Blasts Erin Andrew For Weather Talk
Erin Andrews was on the sidelines talking about the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers NFL game on Sunday. She mentioned the bad weather conditions and wanted to let fans know about what might be coming. This could obviously affect the gameplay, the kicking conditions, and more.
During the NFL game, Erin Andrews made some comments on the air while on the sidelines. She said there could be 43mph wind gusts and a chance of thunder and lightning during the game. Neither of these things happened, although it was rainy in Green Bay. The game took place at Lambeau Field.
“Begging Erin Andrews to stop making up weather alerts,” Sam Kuffel wrote via a since-deleted post on X on Sunday (via Us Weekly). He added, “stuff like this makes me irrationally angry.” Meteorologist and weather risk manager for DTN Tanner Verstegen added, “And 43 mph?! Specifically,” with a questionable emoji.
Of course, since she was working, Erin didn’t see the comments about her work. This means that she kept it up later when she was interviewing Detroit Lions’ quarterback Jared Goff after the game.
“These conditions were crazy,” Andrews said. “Massive wind gusts, rain going sideways, [Lions’ defensive coordinator] Aaron Glenn couldn’t see out of his glasses. Tell me what it was like playing in this.”
Goff said his team winning the game outdoors in inclement weather in Green Bay proves they are the real deal. The Lions play at an indoor stadium at home and this game showed they could win even in heavy rain.
“We’re supposed to be the dome team. We’re supposed to be the team that can’t play outside,” Goff said. “And we come out here and we win.”
Erin Andrews Has Admitted To Making Things Up Before
The fact there was rain was true. The fact there were heavy winds was true. However, the comment about 43mph winds and the possibility for thunder and lightning were the parts that the meteorologists had a problem with. For Erin Andrews, she has admitted to making things up in the past.
And 43 mph?! Specifically 🤨

Andrews was talking to Charissa Thompson during a 2022 podcast episode of Calm Down. Thompson said she once made up a report after Detroit Lions coach Rod Marinelli didn’t give her any relevant quotes. Andrews said she could relate and said, “I’ve done that too.”
