‘Chicago Fire’ Sam Carver Considering Leaving Firehouse 51
From the look of the storylines, there is a chance that Chicago Fire could lose one of its fan-favorite firefighters. The recent episodes make it look like Sam Carver (Jake Lockett) might be on his way out of Firehouse 51. This has all resulted from his recent actions and his interactions with his fellow firefighters.
Here is a look at what is going on with Sam on Chicago Fire.
Will Jake Lockett Leave Chicago Fire?
In the recent Chicago Fire episodes, Sam Carver has started to struggle with his duties and authority in Firehouse 51. It all started last season when he was dating Violet. However, she rejected him when she claimed he had feelings for Stella Kidd. She pushed him away, so he left for some time off and returned with a new girlfriend.
This girlfriend, Tori, has been part of the problem. She has Sam convinced that no one at the firehouse respects him. Much of this is also from Tori’s jealousy of everyone, as she wants to keep Carver away from Violet as much as possible. Now, Tori is trying to convince him to leave Chicago and head back to Texas to work as a firefighter there.
Carver’s recent decision-making has amplified this. He overslept a call, and Kidd had to wake him up. Kidd then asked Ritter if there was something wrong with Carver. Ritter was later asked to check on the equipment, and when he told Carver that his SCBA tank was low, Sam blew up at him.
This caused Kidd to step in, and she sent Sam home mid-shift and told him not to return until he got himself together. With Tori already putting the idea into his head to go to Texas and start fresh, this could be the moment that pushes him over the line.
Chicago Fire Always Teasing Character Departures
At the moment, there is no word on Jake Lockett leaving Chicago Fire. He is likely to miss the next few episodes, but until the series makes it official, it seems that Sam Carver will be sticking around. Whether he gets his act together or not is another story.
Teasing important characters leaving has become almost commonplace on Chicago Fire. It seems like time and time again, fans are thinking Severide is leaving the fire department. However, time and time again, he sticks around, and it was all just misdirection.
The series has a reputation for actually announcing when actors are leaving, though, so getting worried about people leaving based on storylines is usually just a red herring.
