‘Teen Mom’ Tyler Baltierra Reacts To Possibility Carly May Reject Him
Teen Mom star Tyler Baltierra is reacting to the possibility that the daughter he put up for adoption may reject him. When he and his now-wife, Catelynn Lowell were teenagers, they had a little girl, Carly. It seemed best, in their eyes, to do an open adoption. Now, fans are wondering what would happen if Carly did not want to have anything to do with her biological parents at eighteen. Keep reading to see Tyler’s response.
Teen Mom Tyler Baltierra Reacts To Possibility Carly May Reject Him
When Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell were teenagers, they appeared on 16 & Pregnant. They opted to give their baby up for adoption given their pasts and the fact that they were young and not that stable. Luckily, they had an open adoption so they would be able to see their daughter, Carly yearly and still get updates. Their lives were further documented in the spinoff, Teen Mom. Tyler and Cate went on to have three more daughters, Nova, Vaeda, and Rya as well as tie the knot.
They have also maintained a relationship with Carly and her adoptive parents. Unfortunately, for her fifteenth birthday this year, the couple was unable to see her and that crushed them. Catelynn put out a message for Carly on her social media which some fans felt was a bit much. Now, fans are wondering what would happen if Carly opted to stay away from Tyler and Cate upon turning eighteen in three years. According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Tyler would completely understand, or so he claims.

The Teen Mom star had this to say:
“The truth is, she might turn 18 & want nothing to do with us. It just might be too difficult for her or she simply might just want to move on with her life & not have us be involved…& ya know what? That’s OKAY! That is her right! That is her choice!”
However, Tyler Baltierra also noted they may have one final interaction:
“Or she might want to just talk us one final time & tell us how much our decision to place her has negatively affected her or traumatized her life…& that’s OKAY! I would humbly fold my hands behind my back, lower my head & allow her to yell, cry, or scream at me if that’s what she needs. All I would say is ‘I’m sorry. You’re right. I love you.’ I am going to respect & lovingly honor whatever decision she happens to make.”
Anything Could Happen
At this point, Carly is only fifteen so anything could happen. As Tyler Baltierra noted, she could want nothing to do with him and Catelynn Lowell. Or, she could have so much anger that she wants to unleash which would be completely understandable. Yet, in the end, the Teen Mom star really would love for Carly to want to be involved with himself, Catelynn, and her three sisters. That would be the ideal scenario but, as aforementioned, no one will know how it will play out for three years. Until then, they will just have to remain hopeful they get to see her and spend time together as a family.
